Ross McCrorie is facing another long spell on the sidelines after pulling his hamstring for the second time during his loan spell at Portsmouth.
McCrorie limped off after 42 minutes of Portsmouth's 1-0 win against Ipswich Town at Fratton Park.
Manager Kenny Jackett said: “It’s really frustrating for him because he started the game well and had a really good half an hour.
“It’s just typical of his time at Portsmouth really so far.
“We have to just be patient, and I know that is not a great word in football, but we do have to be patient because there is a player there 100 per cent.
“He is good character as well and as I said he did enough in the early part of the game.
“But it is a frustrating situation with another hamstring injury when he had come through the other one and played games.
“How long it will be I don't know but it is something that we don't want to re-occur and it does rob us of a potentially very good player.”
