  1. We can take them on their own patch at the end of the month. Check the stats. Possession: Hearts 50% - St Johnstone 50% Shots: Hearts 9 - St Johnstone 9 Shots on Target: Hearts 5 - St Johnstone 5 Corners: Hearts 7 - St Johnstone 4 Then compare that to the stats from our recent home match with St Johnstone in which Hodson gifted them a schoolboy level goal and we turned in a very poor second half. Possession: Rangers 66% - St Johnstone 34% Shots: Rangers 18 - St Johnstone 12 Shots on target: Rangers 8 - St Johnstone 4 Corners: Rangers 15 - St Johnstone 5 But in saying that, as the manager would interject with, first things first. The hammering of Ross County.
  2. Aside from anything else everyone knows what the 'hun' term means to them and anyone dancing around that which they do is lying. They know they're lying, we know they're lying, and they know that we know they're lying. That's a more than pathetic state of affairs.
  3. Bottom of the group, no wins, i'm guessing "exceeded expectation" to mean he expected to have shipped 20 goals already rather than the mere 'respectable' 13 goals in 4 games. On to Manchester where City have an interest in scoring as many as possible and we can be sure they would absolutely love to at least match the Barca haul. Maybe if they only lose 6 there Rodgers will declare that exceeds expectations.
  4. He's crafty, just throwing them a line to get them off his case about the January window which he most certainly isn't going to talk to those cretins about in any detail.
  5. They temporarily go second top but the sheep cannot survive an entire season on luck like the luck they carried while being outplayed by us. They're total and utter crap. Check these stats from this latest escapade with Partick. Despite not being on fire early doors have we ever this season produced stats like this against the likes of Partick and actually won? Shots: Partick 11 - Aberdeen 10 Shots on Target: Partick 6 - Aberdeen 6 Corners: Partick 5 - Aberdeen 2 And that's not a blip, this from the match at Pittodrie earlier in the season when again they beat Partick 2-1 Aberdeen: Shots 10 - Partick 11 And that's a sheep side as good as they're going to get.
  6. Possession: Rangers 58% - Ross County 42% Shots: Rangers 16 - Ross County 4 Shots on Target: Rangers 5 - Ross County 2 Corners: Rangers 14 - Ross County 1
  7. Can't say much from this but he does look like a strong boy who can run with the ball while rounding opponents and putting it in the net from difficult angles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZujYDHn5MGU
  8. If they aren't going to play him again I don't think he will need to be payed off to leave. Barton is already a multi millionaire several times over and has no need of any 'pension fund top up'. There will be English teams willing to take on him on paying at least the wage he is making at Rangers and probably more. There isn't a single reason for him to hang around not playing as he approaches the end of his career. If they aren't going to play him he will voluntarily go without a pay off.
  9. Quote from a BBC article talking to an ex team mate of Barton at Man City Danny mills. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/37855550
  10. He still wouldn't show face around St James park but recently the fans have been starting to if not actually like him at least not be so focused on hating him because he has brought in what they view as a world class manager and they have the feel good factor back albeit in the Championship where they will probably run away with that league as it progresses.
  11. For years the English have been mistakenly equating a strong league with a strong national side when there is no connection. Table topping Man City who did have an impressive result against Barca the other night fielded a starting 11 with 2 Englishmen in it, none on the bench, one of their 'Englishmen' was born in Jamaica and a foreign manager.
  12. Let's see what the reaction is to the thrashing they will inevitably get in Manchester. This Man City will be a whole different animal from the one that went to Glasgow and incidentally still hit 3 goals there.
  13. I would also hazard a guess that they may ship a heap more goals. Wouldn't be too much of a stretch to presume that a Man City at home who can beat Barca 3-1 can hammer them by considerably more and they have every incentive to do so. If Barca were to be held to a draw in Germany while City were totally devastating ra sellick City could actually go level top of the group on the night and the entire thing could come down to GD for group winner. To go level with if Barca drew in Germany would require an 8-0 win but since Barca hit them for 7 it's not beyond possibility. And that would also give Barca every incentive to hammer them by as much as possible when they come to Glasgow for the final match.
  14. John Nichol started this petition with a single signature, and now has 275,583 supporters in 2 days.
  15. They point to Sinclair hitting woodwork as evidence of bad luck conveniently forgetting that Gladbach also hit woodwork. Also brushing off some further stats. Shots: Gladbach 20 - Celtic 10 Shots on target: Gladbach 6 - Celtic 2 Corners: Gladbach 9 - Celtic 1 That doesn't suggest a close run contest. It suggests Gladbach were dominant and misfiring. To win it ra sellick would have had to score 100% of their shots on target.
  16. To be fair he didn't actually say what that headline implies. It's so idiotic a headline it may as well say Rangers and everybody below Rangers will do well to avoid the bottom 6 and that's absurd. The current top 5 are all pretty much guaranteed top 6 with one other joining them. Motherwell will do well to be that one.
  17. I hope he plays again especially since Kranjcar may be a long term casualty. As many options as possible can only be a good thing for the side.
  18. I think being a mug was a prerequisite to taking this utter nonsense as anything other than absurd in any way shape or form.
  19. More at this link. https://www.change.org/p/fifa-let-england-and-scotland-footballers-wear-their-poppies-with-pride?utm_source=action_alert&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=672056&alert_id=bxUdnveMgX_12Auau%2BewEEhIBwVWER7hqBMZxppIiZameS0VH8ZwqE%2F%2BlZnr9rk441v5sADYYXc
  20. That seems to be a common occurrence with them because I have seen repeated reports of the same thing come from a number of games they're involved in both European and domestic. This was from the home match against Gladbach.
  21. I would work an all nighter for that money with no complaints.
  22. Though the club have an interest in humoring the crazy element they're not going to take it to the extent of putting on the straitjacket and joining them in the padded cell.
  23. They're still out and Gladbach will take third spot without taking another point. Does anyone think for a moment they will take anything away to City and home to Barca given that Gladbach gave them a going over at home? And they could still be losing up to 20 goals.
  24. War dead are not politicians they're soldiers the vast majority of whom did not want to be where they were. That's not so say they didn't want to serve but realistically absolutely no one on either side of a conflict wants to be in a nightmare like the trenches of WW1. I don't get what's political about this. Is it political when Americans commemorate the dead of 911? The poppy's are a symbol of remembrance not a political statement. And as suggested FIFA can go F themselves. Wear the poppies. And incidentally is it an offence if large sections of the crowd are sporting a poppy which is highly likely.
  25. Wish Gordon would pull the kung fu stunt in this match to see how this ref would respond to that.
