While it's extremely disappointing in that we weren't just beaten we were also outplayed overall it's not the end of the world. We're still level with them on points and only need to beat the sheep at Ibrox to negate their games in hand and stay ahead of them. And we have the January window to revitalise some areas. Just a couple of players can make a significant difference. We badly need Rossiter back in the mix but his injury appears to be turning into the never ending story.

We have no idea what was behind the reasoning of McCoist , he has insider information we're not privy to. I'm more than confident he will do the right thing for the club come the time.
-
Regarding Garner he may still come good. It took him 18 games with Preston before he got his first goal and from there it became an avalanche.
-
Yes he was really cross-eyed which pretty much makes him useless as a lion. Occasionally wondered recently if some of our strikers have a similar problem.
-
Indeed, anyone heard of Mario Balotelli?
-
I agree you're making fair comment but still think it's valid to say that Saturday is the real proof of their credentials.
-
The credentials of Chelsea will come under the microscope on Saturday when they face Man City away. In their previous two meeting against current top 4 sides this season they have been beaten.

Broxy bear could get a makeover to become Broxy bull

And United fall further behind drawing at home to a West Ham side fighting to beat the drop. After spending a fortune in just weeks Mourinho has a worse record than Moyes did. How long will they tolerate that? At this stage it's looking very like another season outside the top table of the Champions league. In my opinion Klopp was their best choice but that option isn't up for grabs now and isn't likely to be for a very long time.

This isn't an investment of the kind your thinking of. Publicity is money to such an entity. Rangers have an estimated minimum fan base of over a million in the UK alone and 8 million globally. How much money is that if 8 million people buy even just a few Red Bull drinks a year? It's tens of millions in sales and that's not even mentioning the actual publicity involved in being linked to such a club. I have no idea if this will happen or it's just tattle but it would appear to me to be a good match for all concerned. Even our colours are already suitable for their brand.
-
I think we might also consider that if in just 7 years they can take Leipzig from nothing to competing with Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga they could certainly help make an already established giant competitive against anybody in the relatively small Scottish pond.
-
Red Bull easily have the financial clout to invest in Rangers. It's the top selling energy drink in the world and the list of sponsorships, endorsements and events they already have is extensive. I presume what's in it for them is getting their name on a global brand which at this time with effectively zero investment is already in position to be competing in Europe. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Bull#Sports_sponsorships_and_acquisitions

And isn't it ironic that while everyone agrees we haven't been totally up to scratch we're still in a position to create such cushions. How far out can we be with some consistency and more potency in front of goal. -

Imagine the screams of conspiracy, 'cheating refs' if that had happened to certain others. -

Maybe Dodoo is what you're looking for. When he was lining up for the first I had been screaming for him to shoot on sight but he didn't. He took another step to line it up before letting loose. -

We want Hearts to stumble today. Even if they draw we have a 5 point cushion over them which could become 8 with a win next week. -

Notice how they call it lucky. What's the betting that if this had been the unwashed the opinion would be it was justice for their possession dominance and willingness to work to the last minute. -

This last minute stuff in two games is killing me. But I will take it over the alternative. -

Maybe we need to give them a goal of a start to create some urgency. -
I think the Chairman is being refreshingly candid about our current league position but I agree with him that if a number of fine margins had gone in another direction we could already have been sitting a 'strong second' He seems confident we will be as the season progresses and at this stage I share his confidence. I'm glad he is confirming January window activity and stipulating a Euro spot is crucial. Those we are competing with for those spots are effectively as good as they are going to get while everyone agrees we have regularly under performed. We can only get better while the competition will be no better than they currently are. We're on track for this seasons targets.
