Who at Ibrox ever suggested anything else? Last I checked he's playing in the same league we are?
-
If the manager thinks he can do a job and apparently Davie Moyes thinks he can do a job in the EPL far less the SPL then i'm up for it. Aside from everything else he brings some much needed height into the equation at 6ft 3in and that's even before we get the 6ft 5in Crooks into it. I will go with the knowledge and judgement of Moyes ahead of the chatter of Sunderland fans.

They're an EPL side being handed 100 million plus from the get go. If it's not costing mega millions they think it's a poor deal.

Don't think any apparent disinterest can be seen as a bad sign for us. Look at the ordeal their fans have been putting him through for an answer to that. He has actually been not just verbally abused but physically threatened by them. That's hardly likely to encourage him to give it his all. He only needs to knock away those problem high balls for us and he will be treated like a God.

Celtic face yet another UEFA rap as fans fly Palestine flags
JFK-1 replied to JFK-1's topic in General Football Chat
We perhaps want some of them to be in there because this has developed into a long term habit for them. If we have some of them in then they're probably stupid enough to pull another stunt simply because UEFA applied the same rules everybody else has to adhere to on them. Give them enough rope so to speak. -
Why do I think that it was not a Villa supporter who asked this? As far as i'm aware the Villa fans don't care if THEY have to pay a fee to get him out the door which effectively they are given they are going to be paying what's been reported as anything from the full remaining value of his contract to a significant chunk of it.

Possession: Motherwell 34% - Rangers 66% Shots: Motherwell 13 - Rangers 20 Shots on target: Motherwell 3 - Rangers 7 I don't know where he gets fairly even and a little unlucky out of that and must also be forgetting that they got away with a stonewall penalty when one of theirs handled in the box and a stonewall foul just a yard outside the box and a goalie sent off when their goalie handled a yard outside the box. I call that lucky not unlucky. They wont be so lucky again.

He should also take a look at his own fans forum where many of them think they are on to a 4 or 5-0 hiding. And personally I think that we have to click sometime with all the chances we create and this may possibly be it. If so it would be timely given that they just thrashed them. Put it into everyones head that we can be every bit as potent.

So exactly whose league are Motherwell in these days? Hibs 4 - Motherwell 1

Would you have any idea which countries those might be? Would one be Jordan who slaughtered more of them inside a few weeks in the early 70's than Israel has in it's entire history? Or would it be the Arab countries who refuse them entry to their nations and refuse citizenship to any who do make it there? While on the other hand Israel has given citizenship rights to Palestinians and Arabs of all persuasions and to top that off I lost any sympathy I might have had for them when they freely elected a terrorist group which has this in it's charter. See any mention of Zionists in there? All I see is Jews I bet these clowns at parkhead don't even know that there has never been any state of Palestine in all of it's history, it's nothing but a part of Jordan the Jordanians turned their backs on when the PLO while based in Palestine tried to take over the country. A comment from hamas predecessors the PLO back in the 1970's. And that's the be all and end all off it. It's not a struggle for statehood for a place that has never been a state it's simply Jew hating on a level that would have put the nazis in the shade and they're joining in on it. What's to stop them reuniting with Jordan right now?

Celtic face yet another UEFA rap as fans fly Palestine flags
JFK-1 replied to JFK-1's topic in General Football Chat
Is it a football club or a political activist organisation sticking it's neb into conflicts across the globe and seemingly habitually taking the side of those the international community have designated as terrorists. I would suggest they go over to Palestine to visit their friends there. Take your crosses and your rosary beads and rainbow flags with you and feel the amity they have with the likes of you as they toss you off the nearest building. -
I don't think they have beaten Turriff or won this cup in living memory. Pitch invasion sprinkled with some vandalism and assault if they win?
-
I don't think there is any criminal offence involved in flying such a flag that police could do anything about. It's UEFA who ban such political displays during their tournament matches. What pisses me off about it is that they feel there is a need to even mention " some wearing Rangers tops" in a headline of this nature. In some ways you have to hand it to the Record, they piss everybody off. Look at any sellick or hibz forum and you will see a concensus that the record is pro Rangers and against them.

You would think so given that Hapoel have to score 3 goals without reply in Israel but then again they scored two in 2 minutes tonight.

Celtic face yet another UEFA rap as fans fly Palestine flags
JFK-1 replied to JFK-1's topic in General Football Chat
There is no way anyone can get them out of this with nothing done. It will be reported by both the officials and probably the Israelis themselves because this is serious shit way over and above all of their previous transgressions. -
CELTIC face another UEFA rap after their fans flew Palestine flags during the Champions League clash with Israelis Hapoel Beer Sheva. It is the ninth time in just five years Hoops supporters have landed their club in trouble with European football rulers. UEFA forbid political expressions in football and the waving of the Palestinian standard is seen as especially provocative given the opposition. Police Scotland this week urged fans not to make a statement in the first-leg playoff– and warned them they faced being arrested. But those pleas fell on deaf ears and now Celtic face yet another fine – or even part closure of their stadium in European competition. It’s the latest misdemeanour by Hoops supporters who have cost their club more than £107,150. It’s also the second time they have been fined for supporters flying Palestinian flag – the first coming against KR Reykjavik in 2014. The rap sheet * December 2015: Fenerbahce (A) – £10,000 for improper conduct of team as well as flares * March 2015: Inter Milan (A) - £5850 for improper conduct of team, £3650 fine for flares * February 2015: Dinamo Zagreb (A) - £7400 fine for inappropriate crowd behaviour * July 2014: KR Reykjavik (H) - £16,000 fine for illicit banner * December 2013: AC Milan (H) - £42,200 fine for illicit banner * July 2013: Cliftonville (H) - £4200 fine for flares * March 2012: Udinese (A) - £21,000 fine for flares and illicit banner * December 2011: Rennes (A) - £12,700 fine for illicit chanting http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/celtic-face-yet-another-uefa-8650376

Think broonaldo will be outraged about Forrest diving in the box?

I would agree a player with a sell on value is better, who wouldn't? But that's not the real reasons behind the digs being taken at this signing. They're enraged that we can indulge in million plus transfers at all. In their minds that's against the rules for Rangers simply because of what we could now begin to call a historic financial issue. They dearly wanted us to "struggle to be top 6" and since it's now becoming evident that's highly unlikely indeed they need an avenue to vent their frustration that the minute we're back we may prove to be exactly what we always said we would be. The only credible challengers for what without us was a pathetic one horse race. Sell on value is of minor importance regarding the Garner signing. What is of major importance is that he provide us with a goal stream which then propels us into a Euro spot and that's where the value comes into it. That's of greater monetary value than probably any 2 or even 3 players in the side right now.
-
Does that mean Rangers can't spend such money regardless of any opinion from outsiders about how well spent it is? The media elements going down this path are of the exact same mentality as the grunts supporting other clubs they're just not so overt about it though they wish they could be. If Garner bangs in 20+ goals as I think he will which then gives us a shot at Euro competition and the millions available there are these same people going to go back over their previous drivel and change it to money well spent?
-
They're going to need that cartoon variety expertise if they pull the stunt they're threatening to at this game with the Israeli Champions tonight. And in addition to that if they do then travel over there for the away league expecting a cosy welcome they better get those legal minds into action and grasp that they're putting their empty heads into a life and death situation for a nation that goes way beyond their empty headed babbling.
-
I noticed some in the media criticising the fee we are paying for Garner because he is "28 years old with little sell on value down the line" yet they throw out twice as much for 27 year old Sinclair and it's a good signing? I feel what's going on here is that they are simply irritated that we can indulge in million plus transfer fees at all. There appears to be a mentality most evident among followers of certain other Scottish clubs that once you have had a financial crisis such as Rangers did then you can't ever afford a transfer fee again. Over at an exuberant ones forum for example they have been obsessing over the Garner deal for days with a topic titled "The Rangers - at it again with signings" Now some of the posts they have in that are so absurd as to be scarcely believable that a normal functioning human being actually said it but on my part I peruse the rambling and glory in the obvious jealousy and inferiority complex of a support who are STILL fixated on a cup win months after the event while obsessing over a team not even playing in their league.
-
If all these signings come off you have to wonder if there were will be any loans coming in this year. When a team send a player on loan they want him to play and the way things are shaping up so far they would have to be exceptional to get any worthwhile pitch time in our team.

Joe Garner looks set to complete his move to Rangers within the next 24 hours and Preston boss Simon Grayson has been having his say on the loss of the Lilywhite’s main man.
