  1. Yeah, time and patience is definitely running out for the lad. He wasn't helped last night by a midfield and fellow strikers who basically downed tools.
  2. I felt a wee bit sorry for him last night. He worked very hard and his first touch was often good enabling him to beat men, but then he'd run the ball out of play or not be found again when he passed to others. No idea what was wrong with Thomson and Miller in particular. They just didn't turn up.
  3. Given he's disappeared from the team again, I'd say the chances of him being offered a new contract are slim to none...
  4. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/premteams/liverpool/2914407/Liverpool-line-up-3m-Danny-Wilson-bid.html I could have understood a bit before now but as his contract is up next summer, I'd have thought it made more sense for interested teams to allow the lad another year at Rangers to aid his development then sign him for nothing next January - rather than paying a lump sum now and him hardly playing. What is for certain, is that we need to secure a new contract for him asap.
  5. Appreciate it isn't easy to say too much but that was hardly worth waiting for. As has been asked several times recently, how do you plan to consult and involve the wider Rangers family?
  6. St Johnstone put Rangers to the sword in Perth as Rangers suffer first league defeat in four months. http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/2010/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=247:st-johnstone-4-1-rangers-player-ratings-and-mom-poll&catid=35:analysis&Itemid=67 Hope the players are embarrassed as I am at giving those marks. :sp: was probably the best of a very bad bunch for me but only because he scored the goal...
  7. Yeah, the possible appointment of Hughes doesn't worry me...
  8. I suppose so but I don't think it is all that important in the grand scheme of things as long as Mr Low's advice was used alongside other sources as well. Much ado about nothing IMO.
  9. To be fair, they have distanced themselves from the suggestion so it is probably a moot subject.
  10. Disagree actually - I think professionals are professionals when it comes to being paid for business. And if that person is a friend, then that adds weight to consulting someone who may be able to think differently from the average bear. But, can obviously understand many supporters wouldn't fancy the idea.
  11. I don't think there is any doubt about it to be honest but if people didn't expect him to and plan for it then that is more surprising than the odd story attempting to dampen enthusiasm for any fan-led buy out....
  12. No, source document yet I'm afraid - just comments from the Trust in the media...
  13. Posted earlier MF... Mark Dingwall has replied thus on FF: Stephen Smith has said the following in the ET http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/editor-s-picks-ignore/rangers-fans-we-ve-no-problem-over-celtic-man-talks-1.1017271
  14. Cal is using the figures the Trust quoted mate...
  15. Good man - there should be more fixtures announced shortly!
  16. Mate, you're equating the vast majority with a few vocal people - most folk couldn't care less about politics etc. I do agree Trust threads often degenerate into poor imitations of debate and people are quick to give the Trust the FF tag but you'll find the same overly defensive stuff on FF where other forums (and individuals) are mentioned reasonably often. I'm only saying these arguments are exaggerated in my opinion so both sides can hide from genuine, open debate. Just as well it doesn't happen here...
  17. Now posted... Here's the part-schedule for April - Please post if you'd like one guys:
  18. I don't use VB but I do use RM to a reasonable degree. I certainly appreciate a few posters there are difficult and often disingenuous when it comes to Trust debates but the myth is put across elsewhere that this is a site policy so to speak or that the majority of the site members are anti-Trust. That is not the case IMO. For example, it could be said that the converse is true about FF. Several posters are vocal there about RM (or other sites) in a negative sense but I wouldn't suggest for a minute everybody on that forum thinks the same thing. I think suggestions of inter-site wars are mischief-making and don't stand up to scrutiny. It's a pity that some lend weight to this as it only increases division.
  19. A good post mate.... Like you say we need a lot more information before we can genuinely make up our minds but in principle, yes, I would.
  20. Never heard it but I believe David Edgar was on Real Radio last night talking about their plans. I doubt there is anything substantial to discuss as they've been keen to stress any plan remains exploratory and at an early stage.
  21. I predict the game will be postponed... Although their is no pitch inspection planned as it is currently only sleet at McDiarmid Park. Fan access via the A9 is an issue though.
  22. Appreciate that (although I can't remember Low being mentioned before admittedly) but it is interesting his name has cropped up again. Perhaps one of the Trust bods could confirm his involvement - although I hasten to add his team of choice doesn't concern me all that much.
  23. Another link on the subject - talking of Celtic fans brokering a deal and splits on Trust board opinion with regard to this: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/football/spl/2010/03/30/rangers-takeover-backer-david-low-is-celtic-fan-behind-90s-parkhead-rescue-86908-22148177/
  24. To be honest, I don't think it is true of any site mate. Yes, you'll always get your more vocal and less constructive posters on every site - those for and against the RST actually - but I find the suggestion actual sites are against the RST flawed. These suggestions are merely an easy get-out clause for the Trust to avoid debate on such places. I certainly don't blame them for wanting to stay away from obtuse people intent on division but the generalisation that is permitted to happen about whole sites is just as false unfortunately. On-topic, obviously McColl distancing himself is a blow to the Trust (and should be to all of us who are interested in fan ownership) but I'm certainly still want to hear what they have to say on the matter. Hopefully their statement will be ready today.
  25. More than happy for Weir to stay on for another season - preferably with the aim to help develop a new partnership which is slightly churlish of me given Weir's PotY form this season.
