Reality is that we need to sign young players with potential or rough diamonds, train them up and move them on. We haven't done that with much of the team that's let us stagnate. Whittaker may not improve the first team straight away, but looking to the future he may well be worth the effort. We need to keep up the turnover of squad, polishing the rough and selling on for profit.

When you look at the team in the stark light of day it's hard to see who isn't replaceable at the moment, maybe the central defence pairing, Sakala and Tillman? Our past best players are now in decline, for example Jack, Tav, Morelos, honestly we've held on to some for too long and we are paying the price for that. Even players that have plenty of skill seem to have really dipped recently, Kent being an example. I wonder if we held out for too much money for players like Kamara, Morelos and the like. Even Tav, I love the guy, but the more forward looking option would have been to try and move him on and hold on to Patterson. Of course, there are so many caveats there, teams may have had no interest in Tav. Still though, it's left us where we are now, not enough of the team have been turned over in the last few windows.

What's with the controversy around the Kent/Scales coming together? It looked like Kent was running and turned to get to the ball without realising a player was there and they clashed? Didn't seem anything in it when I was watching.

Roofe's injury has really put a dampener on things for me. His goal shows just how much he could contribute this season, but it just doesn't seem like it will happen at all now.

Why the fuck didn't McGregor run out to get that ball at the end? Anyway, what a win!

Not saying that the defending isn't pathetic, but that ball would never have been played if the boy in the offside position wasn't there, so how hasn't he interfered with play?

I'm not saying it isn't a goal, but the offside rule is fucking incomprehensible these days, dunno how the boy who is offside hasn't interfered with play when the ball has been passed to him.
