  1. There's nothing funny about that team selection.
  2. So we're sticking with Tavernier and Kent again. It beggars believe. I'm truly sick of this intransigence from GvB
  3. I get your point but everyone should really be included.
  4. It’s much more important than that. He knows he’s failing and doesn’t have the answers.
  5. Nope, it's one of those mysteries that occasionally grips the Rangers support.
  6. That's the reality for the time being.
  7. Gio has the look of a condemned man. He knows.
  8. I think a detailed breakdown of available vs unavailable time, converted to £value by applying actual salary levels, would show a true picture of "value for money" for each player, independent of how individuals perform on the park. It would certainly show objectively the effectiveness of our recruitment operation.
  9. To achieve any useful comparison between clubs you would first have to normalise the huge number of factors at play and that's just unrealistic. I think all you can hope to achieve with this kind of analysis is an appreciation of the extent of the problem and our direction of travel.
  10. I genuinely don't know but the fact is I have no interest in other clubs. What I'd like to know is how this trends at Rangers, both in terms of absolute money and as a percentage of paid salaries. That might provide some kind of metric on recruitment and injury management.
  11. I wonder how much money Rangers spends in a year, on a week by week basis, on the salaries of player who are injured or otherwise not available? Ofoborh, Helander, Hagi, Roofe, Jack, Goldson, Souttar, Morelos, etc, etc. And how is this trending over time? I've no idea how you would access this sort of information but I imagine the sums are eyewatering.
  12. I agree the price is way too high but of the two I think Sands probably has more value to Rangers than Tillman.
  13. Aberdeen look to have a more potent attack this season, which is something of a concern given the struggle our midfield is having to provide protection to a makeshift defence. We will need our fullbacks to get forward as much as possible and that's also a concern since we only have one worth the name at the moment. I always feel confident against Aberdeen at Ibrox but not so much this time.

    GvB future

Over the term of his contract surely ....... sufficiently reduced if he wants it all at once???
  15. Would it be racism if it was a black man standing over a prone white man?
  16. And here I am hoping we don’t concede more than five.
  17. A did you say
  18. No, if it’s going to be half-arsed then we can stick with what we’ve go. There can’t be a two-tier approach to fans. ALL fans should have an equal voice, whether they have season tickets or live in New Zealand and never attend games. Every supporter has a stake in the club. As for previous attempts, they failed because they existed for the wrong reason and were never constituted for the right reasons. I do agree with you that the club also needs to step up and be serious.
  19. I don't think so but if it is then a universal fans' group must be possible after all.
  20. I don't accept that and I don't think there's a shred of evidence to back it up. Perhaps you mean that it would be impossible to have every fan agree with what the group does at all times ... but that's a completely different issue. A properly constituted fans group that represents all fans is perfectly possible but the fundamental place to start is where no group has ever gone before - to make it clear from the outset that its sole mission is to serve as a conduit between all fans and the club, at all levels. Not just some fans and not for certain narrow objectives determined conveniently from time to time by an inner circle. That would probably mean keeping Rangers' shortest serving director as far away as possible. Fundamentally, if your aim is improved communication between club and fans' representatives then you have to start by acting in a constructive manner and not the adversarial tactics of Club1872, which acts at every turn like it wants to be at war with the directors of the club.
  21. Looking back on the game, what kind of manager selects Morelos before Colak? Did GvB not see the condition and mentality of Morelos in training. Did he have reason to expect anything other than the woeful performance Morelos gave him? I've tried to be slow to take a stance on our manager but these ludicrous decisions are becoming unsustainable. Why would he field a more attacking selection in Naples than against Livingston at Ibrox? Why does he keep selecting Tavernier when every appearance is worse than the last and he's now a complete liability. Seriously, wtf is going on?
  22. Agreed. Like I said, Tillman is a luxury player in this Rangers team.
  23. Porteous? Is that wise? Don't we have enough disruption in our dressing room already?
  24. Of course there's an argument but that doesn't amount to an obligation. If you're hinting at fiduciary duty of directors then you're barking up a dead tree.
