On balance I think I'll trust Philippe Clement to reach to best conclusion on Ridvan Yilmaz.
Call it a wild hunch if you must but I think he might even be more qualified to do so than Gersnet. 😉

Agreed ..... and I feel something similar about mens football in general, which is almost always a snore-fest. Nowadays I'd rarely think of watching football that didn't involve Rangers but I'd willingly watch rugby or cricket or even tennis. I've concluded that I support Rangers, not football, so it could be being played by hamsters but as long as they were Rangers hamsters I'd be watching.

Another notch on the trophy post in the long story of the Rangers. Jo Potter's team did us all proud.

Well, given that Eng, Wales, Scot and NI usually play at the same time, Channel 4 could arrange for broadcasters in the 4 countries to feature their own teams. It's all part of the attitude that infers England means Britain. I'm British and Scottish not British and English.
The issue is of the SFA’s making, not a TV broadcaster.

McGinn has a point though: Channel 4 beam all England games throughout the UK but you cannot see Scotland games on terrestrial tv.
Consider it a blessing

Rangers are expected to play a game every 3 days but the SNP XI get 2 whole weeks to play 2 training games.

I think, but stand to be corrected, that the FAs are liable for injuries on International Duty, and financial recompense is made.
Nothing the FA's do can possibly compensate for points dropped or cups lost.

That's a bit extreme. And unrealistic. You really don't think the Euros and the World Cup will be scrapped, do you? So where will international players come from? Further, if Rangers FC (or any other club) adopt a policy of not releasing players for international duty (even if legally possible) nobody but nobody will sign for us.
Nothing unrealistic about it ... because at no point did I say I thought these tournaments would be scrapped. I merely think they should be.

International football is an anachronism whose time has passed. We should no longer be expected to fund a player base for national teams to choose from, while clubs take the risk and bear the consequences.
Having finally got a decent left back up and running we now face the prospect of having to field a clearly second choice player and jeopardising our competitive objectives.

My dad called me a stuffy old git for moaning about the drum. He's into punk music, so I think we're seeing a pattern where people who like music that's played poorly, by childlike characters, approve of the drumming but people who like musicianship to be of a credible standard are more likely to disapprove.
Just an observation.

After careful consideration…. neither.

After a quick Google search, I think you're correct. I just based it on the name - silly me.
That’s a relief. 😅

It is: it's blue, white, then red. Clement is Walloon, so probably not averse to the French flag, I'd have thought.
I thought he was a Phlegm, despite his French name. He certainly talks like a Dutchman

He is. We're all red, white and blue though (not to be confused with a French tricolour).
I think the French flag is the other way round but I wouldn't bet money on it. Tricolours must be the least original, most boring flags

Clement turns 50 today. Here's hoping he's having a great day and the next couple of months bring him nothing but enjoyment and happiness!

Tell me it's international week without telling me its an International week
It's a serious matter. It took me a long time to move seats from one side of the Main Stand to the other and get away from that mind-numbingly awful bloody drum. Now the damned thing is following me and game enjoyment will be disrupted again. I was hoping the move was the end of next season.

No chance. Where would I get my news if I did that? 😂

What’s the situation with the awful drum next season? Will it be moving to the Copland stand?

I’m looking forward to seeing the Ibrox reconstruction. Man Utd less so.

Man Utd fan at my work asked me if I'm going and I told him I wouldn't pay that much to watch a mid-table English team. 😃
Nice one

I like these polls. They are a simple choice and raise some interesting discussions. Who is next? Ryan Jack?
On the other hand, it's a fairly worthless exercise unless you also have some idea what the player wants.

Thanks fellas, that worked. 👍

Yilmaz goes off injured playing for Turkey

We certainly need to bottom-out a couple of things ..... is he over his injuries and is he good enough to be a regular first team player. I wouldn't hesitate to select him ahead of Barisic
