Hopefully he figures out how to play well at Ibrox soon.

That's another good player injured. We must be due a bit of luck. I'm assuming Cardoso and Alves are are centre back pairing tomorrow then?

The island of Ireland is part of the British Isles. I love reminding Irish people of this. Referring to England, Scotland and Wales as 'the Mainland' also has a rather amusing effect.

At the end of the day, it was a red card. Regardless if the linesman was a Communist, a fascist, a Zionist or an Islamic fundamentalist - HE WAS RIGHT.

I don't think this thread is particularly heated or weird. People have made their point, fairly reasonably in most cases. It's a sensitive subject. I know people who have no interest in football and the independence referendum would see them get absolutely livid. I have relatives who are far more vitriolic about Nats than I am and they couldn't care less about Rangers. It's all ground that's been gone over 100s of times.

Sinn Fein was the political wing of the IRA.

Aye, I noticed him and was (pleasantly) surprised he didn't get huckled.

I think the China Cup games are on Welsh TV, which some of us can get via our providers (S4C, I think the channel is called).

Your posts on here suggest you are quite worked up about the march. No one I've met who attended the match has even mentioned it. You seem to base a lot of your outlook from things you read online. That's unwise, in my opinion (I've done it myself and then learned that it's usually a lot of empty bluster).

We have to be able to beat Celtc, otherwise we're just accepting 2nd best. If Murty doesn't beat them in the next two fixtures, we should get someone else in. That'd be five games without a win against them. I think he maybe blew his best chance on Sunday but time will tell...

Club1872, Rangers FC and Police Scotland don't live in the real world. I saw a woman in a Niqab at a bus stop yesterday and I ran away, thinking she was dressed as a Provo. Fortunately, a passer by got hold of me and gave me a shot of morphine*. *Must be true as this is the internet.
-
You care more than me and every single person I know. You know more about the real world than me. I'm out of touch with reality. The internet is more real than real life. I get it. Now you've taught me so much you can calm down.

Celtc brought religion and politics into Scottish sport. How many SNP members have criticised them publicly? The SNP, like their friends Sinn Fein, want to break up the UK. Which is why they don't like Rangers FC. Because our club is a focal point for Unionism in Scotland (like it or not).
-
The songs regularly sung by our support do bring politics into it. Many other things do. But the political links are obvious and undeniable.
-
All the Bears I know couldn't care less about the march. The internet is definitely a lot different to the real world, we both seem to agree on that.
-
What did I try to tell you about Oklahoma? Are there a lot of Bears there? You're the one who started taking authority on who knows best about what Rangers fans think. Why do you think you know better than me? And why do you keep focusing on the train thing? I don't live on trains.
-
People seem to confuse Scottish nationalism with normal party politics. I have no real issue with people voting for any party. I do have an issue with people wanting to break up the UK though. And Rangers FC has always been a focal point for Scots who feel British, like it or not.

I spent two hours on the train and Scotrail wifi is as much use as a chocolate fireguard. On the way home from a Rangers v Celtc match, you'll tend to find that is the main topic of conversation. Maybe you talk about the weather and last night's tea on the way home from a big match but I bloody well don't. In the pub, we discussed the day's events and I never saw anyone looking at their phone, other than phoning wives/taxis etc. The march wasn't discussed there either but the various banners, card display and firecrackers were. I've spent 2 days at my work with my two ST holder colleagues. During these hours the weekend's match has been discussed at great length and that includes the atmosphere and all that entails. I don't live on trains. But I do live and work amongst fellow Rangers fans. But I'm glad someone in the States can inform me the true feeling of our support and that online anonymity provides people with testicular fortitude. Enlightening stuff...thanks.

It's strange how few objections are made to Unionism and what are often referred to as bigoted songs at Ibrox Stadium or on supporters buses. Yet online, these objections are very common. Even on this thread, I've had someone based in Oklahoma telling me what the majority of the Rangers support think of the UB march and that it's an indisputable fact that it is viewed as sinister. I witnessed the march and work beside two Ibrox ST holders (one of whom can't stand the UBs mainly because of their Ole Ole songs), neither of whom has even mentioned the march. The 8 Bears I got the train home with and then had a few drinks with in Edinburgh never mentioned it either. Not once. The internet rarely reflects the real world, thankfully.

Only one party has MSPs, MPs and councillors who continually make derogatory comments about our club. We all know EXACTLY why that is.
-
I couldn't care less what they think. I'm sure there are things going on in Oklahoma that would seem odd to me - like gun laws. But it's not really my business.
-
I'll have nightmares after seeing those pictures. No, really...
-
Just admit it, you're an extremist nutcase. We could maybe start an Extremist Nutcases Anonymous Group?
-
Definitely hysterical.

Okay. If you insist. I'm not trying to negate anything because your opinion is your opinion. And my opinion is that you are overreacting, so I see absolutely no need to negate your comments. As someone who got done in by opposition fans after a match, I think I'm in a reasonable place to differentiate between some young lads having a laugh and actual sinister events. But these things are subjective, I suppose.
