Transfer thread bingo is about as much fun as toothache. -

I think a lot depends on outgoings. We need to get players out before we can bring others in, which is easier said than done. -

A transfer window where all our problems are in attack but the same old Borna/Tav debates spring up. -

Helander was sent to see at least one independent specialist. -
*insert cheeky comment about CammyF listening to pish music here Aye, the hills: Blackford, Corstorphine, Braid etc. are all great for a wander.

Headphones do terrible things to the lugs. I stopped using them when I was studying sound engineering and it was a good decision. I quite like listening to the world around me when I'm out walking. I don't drive, so getting to remote hills is a problem but I walk all around Edinburgh.

Loads of games are on Sundays now. 50,000 were watching us on YouTube yesterday, so there's only one weekend with no Rangers game. I had a lazy one last Saturday, did a food shop and watched FA Cup matches on telly.

I think folk are taking it all a bit too seriously. Aye, it's dreary viewing but it's more about getting/keeping the squad match fit during the break than anything else. -

I'm still thinking about the Germanic fertility goddess. Steffi Graf with a nicer nose, perhaps. -

The match is so dull, I picked up an interesting factoid on Wiki... "The club was formed in 1892 as BFC Hertha 92, taking its name from a steamship with a blue and white smokestack; one of the four young men who founded the club had taken a day trip on this ship with his father. The name Hertha is a variation on Nerthus, referring to a fertility goddess from Germanic mythology." -

It's an awfully pedestrian encounter. -

Kevin Thomson is on co-comms, so I'm raging about that. Qwoooality. -

I'd imagine we have another LB lined up. Even if Verona get relegated, Yilmaz might do well and earn us a decent fee in the Summer. -

The former player fetish prevalent amongst Bears is equally tedious and depressing. -
I dread to think...

With a lot of these loan deals, the parent club will continue to pay a percentage. I'm pretty sure Utrecht won't be paying Lammers' full wages, as we'll be picking up a portion.
-
Sima has scored some important goals, which have kept us in the title race and helped us qualify for the EL last 16, so the loan has been worthwhile. The simple truth is, we can't afford the transfer fees or wages for EPL players (there might be the odd exception) but that doesn't mean we shouldn't make use of the loan option.

Like building an immunity. I agree, to an extent. The human body is an amazing thing ....before you hit your mid 30s. -

I think there must be a point when you get to a certain level of fitness where muscles are more easily damaged. Some of the players 30+ years ago got booted all over the pitch but barely missed a game, whereas now the slightest knock can have someone out for weeks. They certainly didn't have the same muscle tone the players nowadays do but maybe that's why they were more resilient. -

I still can't believe two things: 1. We signed him. 2. How much game time he got. I wish him no ill will but hope to never see him back at Ibrox, unless it's playing for the opposition. -

I think Clement's feeling about Lammers were made quite clear in the last couple of matches. I honestly think we'd be better fielding 10 men than having him in the side.
