  2. Liked that bit as well Ian.
  3. New Loan Offer made to Rangers By The Rangers Standard Following an email to a fan from Colin Kingsnorth of Laxey last night in which he reportedly stated that “if they want to offer the money cheaper go for it…no problem cancelling it”, George Letham, the Rangers fan and wealthy businessman who had previously tried to make contact to offer a loan, today approached the club through a third party and has complied with a request that he make any offer in writing to CEO Graham Wallace. Speaking to the Rangers Standard, Mr Letham indicated that he was happy to stand by the terms he outlined in our article yesterday. “Graham Wallace is now in receipt of written confirmation that I am happy to replace the Laxey loan, on condition that it is cancelled, with no penalty to the club, and that any security over property offered to Laxey is also cancelled. I have offered the loan on the same terms but with the interest payable reduced from £150,000 to £75,000. It is my intention to convert this interest into shares as I have no wish to take cash out of the club.” “If the club are unable to convert the interest to shares, then any cash sum I received from the loan would be reinvested into the club via a future share issue to further the cause of fan ownership. My only motivation in this is to ensure that the club is secure, has as much involvement as possible from those who care about it and that its vital assets remain available to it at all times.” “I am making this offer public in the hope that a degree of transparency can be brought to this process for the fans and hope that the board will give my offer due consideration.” http://t.co/y9ZonOlMO2
  4. Somers wrote an open letter to the former director on Monday, summoning him to a meeting as he demanded King explain his recent statements attacking the board. King says he would be "delighted" to meet with the Ibrox boardroom chief but criticised the way the invitation was made, claiming it felt like he was being sent to the headmaster for "a caning". The South Africa-based businessman is expected to fly to Scotland next week for a meeting with fans after he urged supporters to withhold season-ticket cash amid growing concerns about the club's finances. In Monday's letter, Somers said King's "statements and innuendos are very damaging to the club", but the Castlemilk-born multi-millionaire has now responded in kind. He has released his own open letter to the Light Blues chairman in which he said: "Thank you for your email that I had sight of this morning. I also received a copy of your press release stating that I have been "summoned" to a meeting with the board to explain myself. I feel rather like the headmaster is looking to give me a caning. "It is most unfortunate that you have sought wide media coverage of what should really be a private invitation. I feel compelled to respond in similar vein. "I reviewed my two statements in light of your email and don't find anything astonishing in them whatsoever. They neatly and uncontroversially depict the present state of affairs at the club and the ongoing attitude of the board. "Similarly, I can't detect any innuendos. It seems to me that my thoughts are stated pretty clearly and directly. "Additionally, there seems nothing potentially damaging to the club. In fact, the opposite seems to be the case. I accept however that my comments could be perceived as damaging to certain interests that are represented on the board. I don't equate that with damaging the club. The club is much bigger than the present board. "I am delighted to meet with the board to discuss the present funding crisis and can do this on my forthcoming visit. I am not clear what "allegations" you wish me to explain as I can't find any in my statement. It will assist in my preparation if you provide me with a list of specific "allegations" that you want me to address. "Incidentally, the irony of a board that has steadfastly refused to enlighten fans now demanding clarity from others has not been lost on me." Meanwhile, Rangers have appointed Philip Nash as their new company secretary, Companies House has announced. It comes just two months after the troubled Ibrox outfit confirmed they would use the former Liverpool and Arsenal financial consultant's services "from time to time'' as they looked to bring spending under control. In documents lodged with Companies House on Monday, however, it was confirmed Nash was the new secretary, replacing Brian Stockbridge - who also served as the club's finance director - after he resigned his post on January 24. He will now set about helping Rangers solve their money worries on a full-time basis. The Light Blues are losing about £1million per month and the club's share price has fallen to 30.5p per share. Chief executive Graham Wallace is just over halfway through a 120-day review of the club's operations. But after posting a £14.4milllion loss last year, he was forced to accept a controversial £1.5million loan from investors Sandy Easdale and Laxey Partners just to ensure the League One champions-elect could continue to pay their bills until the end of the season. http://t.co/Ra0KkKCj8o
  5. Face to face with the Board will resolve nothing. It is the shareholders who have control. It doesn't matter what faces are at the front, Mather, Wallace, they come and go and the same power behind the throne remain.
  6. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-fail-comment-riddle-snubbed-3204977#.UxWctPwhgsw.twitter SEASON ticket holder John McClure offered his club an emergency loan on a better rate of interest than the deal struck with Laxey Partners but was ignored. A WEALTHY Rangers fan has claimed he offered the Ibrox board an emergency loan on vastly preferential rates to the deal struck with Laxey Partners. John McClure, of Unicorn Asset Management in London, insists his offer to the club’s Nominated Advisor (NOMAD) Daniel Stewart was ignored, And he says he was stunned when he learned that Laxey – the hedge fund who own around 12 per cent of Rangers – had loaned the club £1million at an APR of 30 per cent. Rangers must pay the Isle of Man-based Laxey £150,000 in interest on top of the loan by September 1 or hand over the Albion car park and Edmiston House – a deal that has left lifelong fan McClure stunned. He told The Rangers Standard website he was asked by a group of shareholders to put an offer to the NOMAD before the deal with Laxey and Ibrox board member Sandy Easdale – who is putting up £500,000 and will not be taking interest – was fixed. He said: “We were never given the opportunity to offer formal terms because we didn’t hear anything back. Daniel Stewart asked if we could provide the money that day but obviously that wasn’t possible, which is perfectly reasonable in a transaction of that size – but they pressed ahead regardless. “We’d be concerned if the money was needed so urgently they could not at least have discussed it properly with us.” Another Rangers-supporting businessman and shareholder, George Letham, supported McClure’s claim and insisted he was prepared to offer the £1m Laxey have handed over – but interest-free. He said: “When the terms of the Laxey loan were announced I was horrified.” Record Sport asked Rangers for a comment but received no reply.
  7. Reply from SoS to Somers Open letter to Mr Somers which the press can use if they like "The founders and supporters of the Sons of Struth has noted your astonishing club statements over the past few days. "These statements and financial decisions are very damaging to the Club, which we can only assume is your intention. "We wish you to attend a meeting to explain your performance in more detail as soon as possible. Please confirm your availability." Craig Houston Sons of Struth PS Mr Easdales lawyers have my address
  8. And does Ibrox not need a certain number of parking spaces to be fully opened.
  9. I thought that would be pretty obvious, who knows what email address the questions came from.
  10. I know who and what he is. There is a campaign going on to discredit King, this is part of it.
  11. You have to laugh at folk who blog and frequent forums, as I said most in fact none know who he is. Give us the dialogue and we can see what was said. .
  12. Not one Rangers Supporter I know would have any idea who you are talking about. Please quote the dialogue so we can make up our own minds.
  13. Time for @PeterAdamSmith to do his bit and get in front of Graham Wallace and ask the questions we need answered. @BMCRangersRants a request has been made.
  14. Will Rangers deny that Nash and Wallace have met 2 potential Administrators in the past 48 hours? #c4news And will Rangers further deny Nash and Wallace have settled on one of them as potential Administrator? Tweets from Thompson.
  15. The Board must be shitting themselves that Kings ST ploy is successful. I wouldn't rule anything out.
  16. You would enjoy that mate, well done the yoofs.
  17. Press release to press association from the Union of Fans “We welcome the fact that Dave King has committed to travelling to the UK to advance the setup of the required legal structures for a Season Ticket Trust and a fund to purchase an equity stake in the club. We very much look forward to meeting him in the near future to push things forward. We also note that, like us, he shares a fear that Charles Green and the people he represents are still de facto in control of our club. At their meeting of 30th January with CEO Graham Wallace, the RST requested an updated copy of the register of shareholders in RIFC PLC, which is a legal entitlement of all shareholders. The club considered this request and asked for further information, which has now been provided. We are aware of similar requests by individual shareholders which have yet to be fulfilled. We are aware of concerns by shareholders that there has been a perceived delay in complying with requests for a copy of the members register, and that these concerns have lead to suspicions. We would urge the club to comply with these requests as a matter of urgency, and act on their promises of transparency and engagement with supporters. We also note that Graham Wallace recently attempted to justify the £1.5M loan from Laxey and Sandy Easdale, by indicating that it was part of a business plan he “inherited”. Just who did he inherit the business plan he is implementing from? Charles Green? Brian Stockbridge? Imran Ahmad? Also, why is he still implementing a business plan which is so clearly flawed? Particularly when it is clear that alternative routes are and have been available. We would like this board to explain just what has happened to the 5 million shares Charles Green awarded himself at 1 penny each and which constituted a 7.68% stake in Rangers. We are aware that some of those shares are now in the hands of Laxey. It was also widely publicised that Green had proxied his shares to the Easdales and struck an agreement to sell those shares to the Easdales in December 2013. But no record of such a share trade exists. Also the Easdales do not appear to have increased their notifiable interest in the company according to the most up-to-date information available. It is entirely unclear who now holds the balance of Mr Green’s shares and if indeed they have even moved out of his control. Dave King is quite correct to express his fear that Charles Green and those he represents are possibly still controlling Rangers. Just as we, as supporters and shareholders, are right to exercise our legal right to view the up-to-date shareholders register. Once again, we simply ask this board to answer the perfectly reasonable questions they are being asked and to not just speak about transparency but actually provide it.”
  18. Agree, could have been so much better than he showed.
  19. I don't have this hatred some seem to have to those that left. In the long run they will have more regrets than I have. I can't say I would want them back, but life goes on.
  20. Two games stand out, Title decider against Killie and 4-2 game against them.
