  1. Lucky s--s [people] enjoy.
  2. Yes, but that's not who the Chairman was talking too.
  3. I thought Malcolm Murray had been discussing the remit with a high profile businessman, so said Keith Jackson. Who wanted a QC who deals in property matters?
  4. Wonder how long this will take ? Want it done correctly but quicker the better for everyone.
  5. I wonder if the eastenders will attempt to lure any of our lads. Stand firm young 'uns.
  6. Goals anywhere?
  7. Only Rangers Fans at the game then??? http://t.co/8ctjRcYTTF
  8. FORMER Rangers director Dave King believes he possesses evidence that contradicts the recent claims Craig Whyte has made on the ownership of Rangers' assets. King is adamant Whyte would not succeed in any legal action to try to regain control of Ibrox, Murray Park or any other aspect of the business sold last summer to the consortium led by Charles Green. Whyte has said he will lodge a claim, funded by the Worthington Group, which is part-owned by Whyte and his long-time business associates Aidan and Wulstan Earley, on Rangers' assets. The former owner believes he and Aidan Earley were directors and founders of Sevco 5088, the company that entered into an exclusivity agreement with Duff & Phelps, the administrators of Rangers Football Club plc, last summer. However, the business and assets were sold to the differently- named Sevco Scotland after RFC plc failed to exit administration through a Company Voluntary Arrangement, with Green insisting he and his partners, including Imran Ahmad, "shafted" Whyte. King, who has offered to assist Rangers in any legal case, is certain Whyte's threat of legal action is without merit. "I have details of prior discussions and agreements with Craig Whyte that are contrary to his newly-stated position," he said. "I have an agreement that completely undermines Craig Whyte's latest version. I am referring to specific undertakings he made to me that are legally binding and contrary to his latest fabrication." It was also confirmed yesterday that Ahmad has left Rangers. The commercial director was found to have posted sensitive company information on internet message boards, after he and Green – who resigned nine days ago – became the subject of an independent examination launched by the Ibrox board. "I wouldn't comment on it just now," manager Ally McCoist said after Rangers defeated East Stirlingshire 4-2. "I've just found out about it and the investigation is still under way. I'll comment after that." http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/football/king-whyte-legal-threat-without-merit.20927290

  10. I have to laugh when I read these articles. The writers seem to have a very high regard for themselves, why should I take any more notice of this, than the guy laying off in the pub tonight.
  11. Not sure who is big enough to sack him, unless he walks. The support were singing his name today, so it'll be a huge decision.
  12. There's no excuse struggling against East Stirling. I guess we are stuck with Ally, who will want money to spend. As you say, on the park we are going nowhere.
  13. We will watch who Leggat supports next.
  14. We have as many factions in the support as there are in the Boardroom, all for different and I would say selfish reasons. They all have their own arguements for and against, I'm sure some are just because that lot support him, then we will support t'other. I just wish they would realise they are doing as much harm to Rangers as the ones in the Boardroom.
  15. Reading elfideldos latest preport, the lad is doing well.
  16. I have been a critic of McCoist and his tenure as Manager, I also do not want a return to spending above our means. But looking at everything realistically the first thing that must happen is to get all the crooks and con-men out of Rangers. Now whatever we think of Smith and McCoist surely no one would put them in that category. If Murray, Smith, McCoist and whoever supports them rest control, then we can say what kind of Rangers we want moving forward. I do not want a return to the Rangers of old, but it is my belief we really do need to cleanse Rangers.
  17. Football will never catch on.
  18. I thought the guy was conducting a review of Auchenhowie and the Youth set-up. I'm sure that was his remit when he joined, at least that was what we were told.
  19. Former Rangers director Dave King is investigating a bid to wrest control of the club from Charles Green and his investment cronies. But the South African based businessman â?? who lost £20m via a previous investment in the Ibrox club â?? faces stiff opposition from Greenock bus tycoon James Easdale. Easdale and his brother Sandy â?? jailed for VAT fraud in 1997 â?? have approached Green over the sale of his 8 per cent stake. The siblings, who own McGillâ??s Buses, already hold 6 per cent and are keen to secure representation on the Ibrox board. Ibrox return? Dave King, the former Rangers director, is weighing up a bid to take over from Charles Green However Castlemilk-born King has told Sportsmail that he intends to ask the institutional investors behind the Yorkshireman if they will sell to him instead. Aware of the move by the Easdale brothers to buy Greenâ??s eight per cent shareholding, the 57-year-old is currently trying to establish precisely who owns the other shares with a view to making a counter move. 'I am very much assessing my position at the moment,' said King from Johannesburg. 'Right now I am trying to get as much information as I can to understand the true corporate structure behind Rangers. 'I am trying to discover if the investors would be in a position now to consider their situation. 'Most people donâ??t want to lose money. 'But I want to find a different way forward. And the removal of Charles Green certainly provides an opportunity to take things a forward a different way at Rangers. 'I want to see if the individuals who own the shares are amenable to having a discussion. 'The issue is not one of just buying Charles Greenâ??s shares. His eight per cent does not make much difference 'There is no point in being a minority shareholder with no influence or power. 'But now there are two possibilities. 'One is that his shareholders regroup and find another man and continue to support him. In which case we have a continuation of that previous regime and things will catch up with them in a year or two. 'Or, alternatively, if the shareholders are in any way uncomfortable and want to exit then this may be the opportunity now for others to come in. 'And one of those could be me.' The legal claim of former owner Craig Whyte to the clubâ??s assets further complicates the picture. However King is dismissive of the former owner, saying: 'I would discount Whyte completely.' King has been linked with bids for the club in the past, but was frustrated by a freeze on his UK assets by the South African Revenue Service (SARS). In November he won a six year battle to have the order lifted, freeing him to invest in UK companies. Last month he reached a confidential agreement with SARS which will see several of his South African companies and assets sold to offset a tax debt disputed for well over a decade. The Glaswegian also entered into correspondence with the SFA last year and believes his legal team can convince the governing body he is a â??fit and proper personâ?? to return to the Ibrox boardroom. â??The response of the SFA was that because it was only allegations they would take representations from my legal team and if they could convince them I had a strong case then there would be no issue.' There will also be questions over the involvement â?? if any - of Sandy Easdale in the Ibrox acquisitions of his brother James. Jailed for 27 months in 1997 the tycoon received VIP treatment from Green prior to investing in the recent share issue. McGillâ??s Buses are Scotlandâ??s largest independent bus operator and employ 700 staff from their Greenock HQ. Last night Rangers sources claimed they had no knowledge of Green agreeing definitively to sell his shares. However, the matter was discussed at a board meeting yesterday, where the interim appointment of Craig Mathers â?? a Green investor â?? as interim Chief Executive also moved closer. 20. http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/football/rangers-fans-still-cannot-see-black-and-white-amid-shades-of-grey.20878612 In recent weeks, some information has been deployed as a tactic and the truth is lost somewhere in the stir that causes. Supporters are effectively powerless to prevent their club being caught in the midst of a series of corporate, and other, entanglements. There is a split on the board, essentially based on those who supported Charles Green, the chief executive, and Imran Ahmad, the commercial director, and those who wanted them removed. There have been insinuations and allegations from both sides, including doubts about how much money is in Rangers' bank account, questions about commissions paid on commercial contracts, and the suitability of Malcolm Murray as chairman. The attempt has been to portray issues as black and white, when the reality is shades of grey. Rangers insist the club is financially stable. Murray is a singular character, but has been working on what he is convinced is best for the club. It was Green and Ahmad whose positions had become untenable, and whose management is being investigated in an independent examination. Now Green has resigned and Ahmad will follow, there ought to be an opportunity for rapprochement. The impending appointment of Craig Mather as interim chief executive also split the board, since some considered him a Green ally. Yet putting him in place is less disruptive than bringing in an outsider for a short period, with the board's intention being to appoint a full-time replacement after a full and proper search in a matter of weeks. Rangers need to make a clean break from the toxicity of the Craig Whyte era and the undisclosed deals that resulted in the group fronted by Green buying the business and assets of the club from Rangers Football Club plc. That transaction is being investigated by the club – through the independent examination of Deloitte and Pinsent Masons – by the liquidators, BDO, and by the police. Whyte's claim that he was a director of Sevco 5088 has generated alarm. Green disputed the claim but has changed his story on several occasions. The legality and validity of either man's position has yet to be determined but, unless the assets were held by Sevco 5088 before being transferred to Sevco Scotland, the club is unlikely to be liable to Whyte's claim. Duff & Phelps' interim report to creditors last July was clear that the assets were sold to Sevco Scotland. Where Whyte may have a claim is if Green novated the sale from Sevco 5088 to Sevco Scotland, prior to the transaction taking place, without the requisite authority. If Whyte and his business associate, Aiden Earley, were legitimately directors – which Green denies – they may have a case against him personally, or perhaps administrators Duff & Phelps. This turn of events, which should always take into account Whyte's reputation for deceit and for being a wholly unreliable witness, has spooked some city investors. There are also expectations of further revelations to come which are potentially serious. Cenkos, the broker, and the Alternative Investment Market itself, will also have become increasingly irked at the public nature of the allegations and the boardroom tensions. Into this mix yesterday was thrown the possibility of James Easdale buying Green's 7.8% shareholding, and perhaps more to take the cumulative stake of himself and his brother, Sandy, who was jailed for VAT fraud in 1997, to 29.9%. They are lifelong Rangers fans, but are perceived within the club to be allies of Green and Ahmad, who were both intent on undermining manager Ally McCoist. It remains unlikely that the Easdales will buy a significant stake and even this information was being used as a form of manipulation. Yet two other high net-worth Rangers fans are considering their options, and one is prepared to move now. The club needs stable ownership as much as stability on the board, but it is unclear what deals could be struck. Green and Ahmad could have called upon a proxy of somewhere between 30% and 50% of the shareholders, so even ousting them does not remove their influence. Blue Pitch Holdings, part of the original consortium, are keen to sell, although technically must wait until June and, according to the share prospectus, "following consultation with Cenkos and in such manner as to preserve an orderly market". There are also fundamental disagreements on the club's business plans, with some adamant that the costs of Murray Park need to be drastically reduced. Yet without a solid and extensive scouting and youth network, Rangers will eventually return to the top flight unprepared for the challenge of trying to catch Celtic. The club needs to be run sustainably, but that includes the football side, which should generate income from transfers and contribute to the business. Some who work at the training ground say it is vastly under-resourced, with no scouts since Neil Murray was forced to leave last month. Rangers remain in a state of turmoil, and the second largest wage bill in Scotland cannot be sustained while the club is in the lower leagues. Yet provision needs to be made for the return to the top division, or else fresh external investment will be required to allow Rangers to take the place that their fans expect: challenging Celtic and playing in Europe. Right now, though, the club is struggling to make proper headway. Change the day in the heading, please.
  21. I see Mather has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer for the Group and interim CEO, this morning.
  22. I've thought since D & P came in that there should be redundancies. I think most supporters would have realised this if we had been told the truth and what the plans were for the future. Where is the person is to drive this forward ? I'm not sure he is at Ibrox, someone completely new needs to be in place.
  23. The more I hear about the financial world, the more I realise why there are so many crooks in it.
  24. Everyone seems to know them but me !!!!!!!!! Any links?
  25. Could Clark bring his Manager along with him?
