Never mind them C. You will, sadly, always get haters. People that can't see positivity in anything, even when someone is nobly defending the clubs corner !
The thing is Craig, due to the nature of my job I couldn't go on to talk about sectarianism or racism. I'd probably face disciplinary action if I did.

Speaking of media performances, good to see plgsarmy on Sky News earlier. Somewhat ambushed by their researchers, she did a fine job of turning a clichéd negative debate over Old Firm sectarianism into a positive match outlook for us.
Thanks Frankie. It looks like the members of RM don't share your view. Calling me a senile old woman and embarrassing. I'm sure you'll confirm that you asked me if I would do it and it wasn't done via Club 1872. In addition, one of the producers told me specifically that it was not going to be about sectarianism, purely about the game. Just as well I don't give a shit about what people say.

It looked like Alan Fraser was chairing the meeting, he was on the Rangers Fans Board.
Yes 7 names but 8 plus Alan at the table.
James Durrant was a last minute addition as a business trip got cancelled.

FWIW, I believe Scott has pulled out of this after being made aware of the club's issues with BBC Scotland.
Surprised he wasn't already aware.

Do you have any idea when it will be available to view?
I'm not sure. We're debating whether to put it in the members section or for general view.

It's irrelevant now
I disagree. You're claiming they were told they had to appear in person so I'd like to know who told them. You don't have to give names of potential candidates.

as far as i'm aware the petition was published to highlight that there was no formal complaints procedure for RF and also due to requests falling on deaf ears, Raised by a young man who cared about the organisation he supported and was unwilling to be "pushed" in a direction he didn't want it to go, fair play to him.
I don't believe Club1872 have a formal complaints procedure either and i doubt we'll see the board implement one as a priority,.
It seems the default response is...oh but look you only got 68 signatures... what an absolute shame.
I simply cannot see success under the new board structure which will likely be
Craig Houston
Steve Sinclair
D'Art
James Blair
Laura Akers
Joanne Percival
Alex Wilson
A mix of RST and friends of the board and then D'art who is well respected and i love his written work, i fear he'd be the silent minority.
"It's a democracy, get over it", "one member one vote"
Have you been on here since you failed to get elected to the RF board?

And regards the Skype issue ,potential candidates were told 1 week prior to the deadline that they had to appear in person at the hustings
Bruce, who were these candidates and who did they ask?
0 -
Between 1st and 21st Sep there will be 3 public meetings / hustings.
Each candidate must attend at least 1 of these meetings to make themselves available to answer questions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For those of us unable to attend these, will there be any minutes taken so we can read the questions and answers?
It was filmed and will be put on our website.

Christine this wasn't aimed at you , you have always been upfront with anything I have asked , others however have not been so forthcoming and I wrote the above after a twitter fest which was just depressing the life out of me yesterday .why others can't just adopt your approach is beyond me
The funny thing is Bruce we have only been asked that question once via e-mail since the launch in May and that was only last week. That is out of over 2,500 e-mails we have responded to.

So there may have been members of the working party putting themselves forward for election but they might only have been in one wp meeting or they might have been in them all , it's like getting blood out of a stone getting info on this
Bruce, why don't you just ask me? All groups have been fairly consistent in terms of who went to the meetings. Iain Paton from the RST went to one meeting in someone's place. The only group who had a number of people attend was RF - attendees at various times have been James Blair, Ricki, Richard Scott, Peter Ewart, Greg Marshall, Donahoe and Johnston.

I'm almost scared to ask.

Absolutely no chance of them getting involved , their noses are far too far up certainly directors arses to get involved
I think that's unfair Bruce. At least five of the WG are on holiday this week but I'm sure we'll contact the Club and establish exactly the rationale behind this decision and then make a decision in terms of response.

Eh I think that's the root of the problem Christine, and what happened regards his twitter account being blocked then mysteriously unblocked
How were we supposed to know his Twitter account from his e-mail address?
0 -
Also if he was going to do something so devious , would he not go to the bother of something highly controversial, get a grip Christine
Well if you want to go down that route, why is it that there is no trace of any of the e-mails coming in or anything being sent out? There would have been no problem answering his questions had they come in on 27th May. I was answering e-mails that day and I think I would have remembered that one.

That makes absolutely no sense at all , in fact it stinks
In what way?

so just to be clear your calling him a liar regards to the phone calls and voice mails but are admitting the emails
He was e-mailed, yes, but at no time was he told that the person was known. His screenshots were taken at face value but further information received leads us the believe they were not authentic.

From bluegates on RM
Just to keep the board updated, it was Christine Sommerville who confirmed the person was known and that it was not in anyones interest to let it get out.
I have sent her 3 emails back since she confirmed the person was known, i've also called her and left voicemails twice - I now wonder if the number I was given was false.
So is he now being accused of lying .
It was never said to him that the person was known and no calls were made to the (correct) phone number and no Voicemails left.

The worst thing about this whole mess , is that bluegates,s emails were perfectly harmless and a list of perfectly open and reasonable questions , that's what makes this so ridiculous , that Club1872 have tried to discredit this guy when he has been in contact with a club1872 rep who stated that she knew who deleted the messages and was in her opinion " silly " makes it all the more bizarre given that they are now refuting their own reps word .
Open , honest and transparent aye right you are
I think you'll find that 'she' said no such thing.

Since your not on RM Chris, can you tell me who was the person responsible for Club1872 reply today on Sunday Mail story?
It said the quote was from RF. The resignations have nothing to do with Club 1872.

I closed this thread as I received some further information. In hindsight I should have left it open for others. Plgsarmy is in the office every Monday and Friday from 0930hrs to 1630hrs. It may be open at other times, Plgsarmy may furnish details.
It's open those hours from Monday-Friday and will be open on match days.

You get holidays:shock:
Perhaps I'm on an all expenses paid trip to see how the Tenerife Supporters Trust operates. At least I'm not at NARSA.
0 -
Christine , empty your inbox please.
Now done. I'm in Tenerife at the moment so it better be good.

Sorry I've been unable to get on here in the past few days. Basically Chris is going to NARSA at his own expense. He has friends over there. When the club heard this they suggested he might was to do a half hour session on Club 1872. The clarify, Chris is paying for this himself - not the Club, Club 1872 nor the RST.

Later in the season is best for me. I have a (really) big birthday on 10th December and will be retired after that so could fit in any date.
