  1. It was poor, he just didn’t do anything with it
  2. Why don’t C1872 have a competent board? I don’t have knowledge of these matters, but anecdotally it seems clear they don’t.
  3. An incredible stat for a home game against Ross County, the side who have conceded the most in the league bar Hamilton. (The second tweet)
  4. Updated projected league table. Remarkable to see us still being projected to hit 100 and we are now in December.
  5. It is a difficult ground to go to though. They were probably the only team not to lose by more than a goal at home to either us or Celtic last season and they have carried that into this season too.
  6. And I’m actually with you to an extent. Don’t mind laughing at them a wee bit but it is still early days for the league. It wouldn’t be the first time a manager change has brought about a dramatic change in form. They’ve somehow got through this spell so far only 5 points behind (not including games in hand). If things were to go to plan for the rest of this year, the OF game at Ibrox becomes huge to extend that gap.
  7. I listened to Sportsound and they were very open this time in saying that a number of players had simply chucked it. I suspect they may have decided this was the perfect opportunity to get him sacked, no points dropped but a totally embarrassing home loss, this time in a domestic match.
  8. This is an interesting one. Shows again that we are creating far more chances than Celtic, but their goals per game ratio is better than ours. There are various potential explanation for this, but they are scoring goals from less chances/lower quality chances which normally points to more clinical finishing. We would be out of sight if they hadn’t done that. in the defences table, it is good to see Celtic have conceded more xG than St Johnstone haha.
  9. Don’t have access to these, aside from the basic ones
  10. Love this one. Hagi proving me right ?
  11. This is nuts
  12. Brilliant from Hagi, I wish he would get more game time.
  13. Sorry don’t have time to explain this one just now so just posting it for now
  14. I keep forgetting to do this Falkirk 0-3 Rangers Itten
  15. Going through the team, Barisic was the pick of the defenders and showed his importance on the European stage yet again. Both goals came directly as a result of his runs and his ability to get the ball into dangerous positions. After an early mistake I had a feeling Tavernier wouldn't recover and he didn't really. Goldson almost gifted them a 3-2 win, Balogun was good but could have done better at the second goal I think. I actually thought all three midfielders were good. Arfield won the ball loads and drove us forward. Kamara was good and Davis was probably the pick of the three for me. Roofe was the pick of the forwards and MotM for me. His all round game was fantastic. Excellent out of possession and just as good in possession. When the ball comes to him he either wins the header and aims it to one of our players or, if it comes to feet, the ball just sticks to him and he keeps possession. His header was key to the first goal and the second was just yet another solo goal. In my opinion he is our best forward and I really hope he doesn't have any more recurrences of his calf problems this season. It was a bit of typical Kent performance for me, outstanding out of possession but just lacks quality in it and too many of our attacks break down with him. Morelos had another good game against a Portuguese side.
  16. Definitely. And I am much less disappointed than the first time because that was against 10 men and we were in full control and still made basic errors to lose goals. This time they were in control and the actual goals weren’t a result of basic errors.
  17. Yeh. Although it must be said that this time I don’t think there were any big mistakes in the goals we lost. The first one I’ve already mentioned there was a lack of energy that resulted in their midfielder having loads of space, and Tavernier maybe could have directed his header better. But all in all there was a huge element of luck in how the ball dropped for them there. The second goal was actually some really good play from Benfica with quick sharp passing and an outstanding finish, and again there was a lot of luck in how the ball fell to him. Not a lot that could be done there really.
  18. Not at all. It’s just seeing how the game is going and adapting to it.
  19. Yep. It’s easy to get greedy and forget that it is actually very unusual for us to do this well in Europe. Gerrard is working wonders in Europe.
  20. The 1st goal going in should have been the signal to make a change. It was clear the status quo was working for them and we were tired. They had made 3/4 subs.
  21. Yes. The first goal was caused partly by the fact that the Benfica midfielder has loads of space and time to play a really good ball deep into our box. Morelos was just walking around, if Itten is on I would say that midfield doesn’t have time to play that ball. With the second goal it isn’t directly caused by a lack of closing down but we were just inviting them forward in general by the lack of energy up front. Itten and Barker should have been on for Kent and Morelos, or even a more defensive minded sub to shore up the back, it didn’t have to be like for like. So frustrating that we have just had another very good result in Europe all things considered and we can’t fully enjoy it again because a great win has been dangled in front of us and thrown away again.
  22. We needed fresh legs up front. We aren’t closing them down like we were earlier in the game and it’s allowed them to get the ball forward much easier. Why the reluctance to make changes all the time. Really frustrating.
