  1. It’s going to be fascinating to see him tested at a higher level. He needs to sign for the right team. He could really struggle in a more technical league. Scottish football suited him.
  2. 19.7 apparently. Is that what you’re referring to?
  3. Yes, I think pride is a big problem for a lot of Rangers fans. It's been well reported both Dembele and Tierney went for £20m+. At the end of the day we shouldn't care, we sell at the best price we can, he has played a big part in making the club money in Europe. Good luck to him but we need a player this season who can stay fit, disciplined and focused for 38 games and Morelos hasn't been that in any of the 3 seasons we've had him.
  4. Not going to happen. He is still valued well over £20m by lots of our fans. We are selling at a low point when we should have sold at a high point.
  5. I still think he’s our best centre back. Excellent player.
  6. Hardly. Some basic facts which go some way to explaining our clean sheets.
  7. Just a few stats to add to this, Rangers have faced 17 shots so far this season, Celtic have faced 19 having played 2 games fewer Rangers' average possession of 66.5% is the highest in the league Rangers' pass accuracy of 87.6% is the highest in the league Doesn't mean anything at this stage of course but some good early signs.
  8. Doesn’t matter when you are talking about doubling your wages
  9. Sorry to mention them, but there are reports that Turnbull will sign for them for the same fee as last season, £3m. Hard to tell when none of us watch him regularly, but I think he could turn into a very good player and I was hoping he'd move down south.
  10. The writing has been on the wall with regards to Alfie's attitude for a very long time, let's be honest. If it wasn't for the incredible, and overwhelming support he has had he'd have done it before now.
  11. If he can stay fit I think he could be very good. That was the second time this season we have scored against a very defensive team by Barisic firing a low ball in which only needed to be re-directed by very quick feet. What a way to score a goal, I love it. But I don’t think Morelos would have the light and quick feet required to re-direct those like Roofe did on Saturday. Roofe could actually suit our style of play more than Morelos. I have never been Morelos’s biggest fan though so I’m sure others would have a different take on that.
  12. This is our route to success. Selling at over-inflated prices to England and spending the money more prudently in markets across the continent. Until we make the UCL groups this the only way we can significantly improve our finances, and therefore first team.
  13. A difficult ground to go to. I hope we develop the mentality required to be scoring late winners like this. At times in the past couple of seasons it has been the difference between us and them. We haven’t really seen this since Walter Smith.
  14. Possession stats and shots on target against in each game so far, Aberdeen - 60% - 0 shots on target St Mirren - 74% - 2 shots on target St Johnstone - 75% - 2 shots on target Livingstone - 79% - 1 shot on target Kilmarnock - 75% - 0 shots on target That is your clean sheets explained right there. Complete domination in possession. We were good at this last season but the early signs are that actually we’ve managed to improve further.
  15. Very good win, and the lack of any danger whatsoever to our goal is very encouraging. Yes clean sheets are good but sometimes they are jammy. We have barely been threatened at all in 5 games now. Onwards and upwards.
  16. Tbh it would have been a gamble about 8 months ago. He has been poor so for long it wasn’t much of a gamble.
  17. In case I am included in this, I was a "detractor" long before this. I agree he has started the season well and has earned his place in the starting 11 at the moment. Whether he is replaceable with £10m+ in the bank is another matter though.
  18. In seriousness though, it is just the nature of the game of football. People see different things in players. I have been equally surprised by the negativity towards many of our players through the years. To give just one example, I defended and backed Barisic when it seemed 95% of our support wanted him gone after the loss at Rugby Park. Goldson, Tavernier and Jack have been pilloried by sections of support regularly in the last couple of seasons and I have defended them too. Kent is just another player who people see very different things in, albeit I will happily admit that the vast majority clearly rate him very highly, including the Gaffer.
  19. Gutted Aribo is missing games. He has been a really key player.
  20. Yes. For context, https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2020/07/22/report-leeds-and-everton-must-pay-over-7m-to-sign-next-modric/ Gojak is a quality player.
  21. Well we have reportedly rejected 10. But 20, in my opinion, is fanciful. Don’t forget we signed Barisic for £1.5m a couple of years ago, a Croatian international. We get preoccupied with English transfer fees when we should be more concerned with transfer fees in leagues like our own.
  22. Nobody in their right mind is paying £20m for Kent
