About PrideAndPassion

  1. Well, I might as well make my final post on here a good one Good stuff from Calscot once more, i've always agreed with the vast majority of what he has posted, it's just a shame that certain sections of our support continue to drag their knuckles instead of looking to a more modern inclusive future Would be nice to see more people with views like Cal's on here, but that will never happen, as i've already stated that such views are not really welcomed on here - maybe the people who run this forum will one day sit back and actually wonder why the membership rarely seems to grow, but i very much doubt it. The views of ALL rangers fans should be tolerated on here, and whilst we may not always agree, some level of respect should be given With that i bid you all adieu!!
  2. Fraser, since you have a time machine and have seen the place bouncing, can you pop forward in time again and give us the first goalscorer please?
  3. The place is bouncing? Do you have a silver Delorean per chance?
  4. Good last paragraph, bmck One of my problems is that any 'way forward' always seems to represent a particular viewpoint, and i'm not convinced that this is the one and only viewpoint out there!!
  5. totally agree ... and you are right, it does stick in the throat when you look at what those idiots across the city can get away with with their whole 'irish roots' pish, but this isn't about them, it's about us getting our own house in order, and to do that we need to do MORE than what is expected of us, whilst at the same time standing our ground on the ridiculous - it's a fine line! Which of course is why i have always been so disappointed with the whole Big Jock Knew crap ... we really have to rise above this!
  6. Surely the fans should push a clubs identity, not the club? After all, the fans ARE the club! When has anyone ever asked if the fans enjoy the prematch music, etc? I'd much rather hear a good mix of old and new football songs than the friggin' dambusters, rule britannia, and other such irrelevant nonsense! Just my opinion, of course
  7. You don't happen to have any links to the article? Would be a good read for the folks on here
  8. I have to agree with most of Cal's posts on here I'm not anti-monarchy, but my political views are now moving slowly towards believing that independence would be good for Scotland, with the queen remaining as head of state. I know that isn't seen as the general view of a Rangers fan, but i have no probs with that, and if the majority of Rangers fans are pro-unionist (i'm not convinced they are by the way!) then i have no issues with that either However, i a) don't think the club should be actively pushing an identity, a la the good old 'empire megamix' they insist on playing pre-match and b) that my view is equally respected, and not scorned upon. I've seen people getting abuse at Ibrox for wearing a 'Jock' top in the past .. that kind of thing is bang out of order
  9. Dismal !! I spend more time talking to the guy in front of me about our Nintendo Wii exploits!
  10. totally! whilst i don't agree with classing the people of Dublin as our 'enemies' (let's grow up, eh?) some of the banners that the great unwashed have happily displayed in OUR OWN STADIUM beggars belief!!
  11. I don't see the people of the Irish Republic, or of Dublin, as being my enemies!
  12. Yep, that was my view as well McCulloch offers very little in my view, except an out ball and it stops us trying to play football
  13. Had his poorest game in a while on Saturday, but still better than many of the rest!
  14. Couldnt argue with any of that, well said
