RSA/RST meeting with the club?

Recommended Posts

Isn't that the problem with these meetings. I'm not sure as a member of the Trust, that I agree with the secrecy.

If the RSA or the RST don't agree to a level of confidentiality then the meetings don't take place. I tend to think that it's better to have the meetings, and to hear something rather than for them not to take place at all.

it all only works if you trust the integrity of the people involved implicitly. that's the judgement people need to make.

wrt the rst, i don't think they've panned out well. i dont trust them after all that debacle last year.

I would rather the RST made it clear that they would have to disclose all discussions to their members. If Murray said no, then no meeting, I would guess this approach would be well supported by members. But would it suit the ones who go to these meetings?

I couldn't say whether it would be supported by the members. My guess would be that a majority would prefer to have their "views" passed onto SDM/MB and for the apparently infrequent meetings to continue. However you could be right in that it wouldn't suit those who go to the meetings.

Either you trust the Board to act on your behalf or you don't. BMcK obviously doesn't. :)

As bmck rightly says, the issue all comes down to trust. And for what it's worth I also think the fact there are/were supposedly inappropriate leaks from inside the board says quite a lot about quite a few things.
