If the RSA or the RST don't agree to a level of confidentiality then the meetings don't take place. I would rather the RST made it clear that they would have to disclose all discussions to their members. If Murray said no, then no meeting, I would guess this approach would be well supported by members. I couldn't say whether it would be supported by the members. My guess would be that a majority would prefer to have their "views" passed onto SDM/MB and for the apparently infrequent meetings to continue. However you could be right in that it wouldn't suit those who go to the meetings. Either you trust the Board to act on your behalf or you don't. As bmck rightly says, the issue all comes down to trust.
