I have searched the AFR website but I think a lot of the stories are member only. Has anyone heard anything about this or is it silly season? Australian Financial Review Media moghul Jamie Packer(pictured right) allegedly has his eye on investing in a British soccer club.Scottish giants Rangers F.c from Glasgow are reported to be his target It is believed he will invest with a South African consortium with Packer being the major share holder should the venture go ahead.The main drawcard for the fairfax heir will be the chance to build a string of casinos in the U.K and on the European continent with the sporting investment being a sideline investment. He had some top Ibrox insider tell him, so surely that must have gone through by now?
