Bullard mulling over future

  • 2 weeks later...

Celtic have won the race to sign Hull midfielder Jimmy Bullard.

Bullard has agreed to join the Scottish giants on a 12-month loan deal after Newcastle dropped their interest in him.

The former Wigan and Fulham star will undergo a medical and is expected to complete his move to Parkhead before the end of the week.

Bullard would have preferred to have remained in the Premier League but Newcastle were the only club to show interest in the injury-prone star, before manager Chris Hughton decided to look elsewhere.

The cash-strapped Tigers have been desperate to get their record £5m signing of the wage bill to ease the financial crisis at the KC Stadium, where Bullard earns £45,000-a-week

The most overrated player of the last decade. Mainly loved because Soccer A.M. tell you to love him

Could anyone honestly see this joker bossing Thomson, McCulloch or Edu in midfield?

Decent player and if he was coming to Ibrox id be quite happy as we would be going for a higher profile player.

Whats more depressing - Celtic signing Premier League players or Rangers being linked with Lee Miller?? Id really not be surprised if we went for Kevin Kyle next.

I'd be perplexed if we went for Bullard and wondering why we needed a 31 year old on £45,000 a week when central midfield is the only position we have strength in depth in
