McCulloch - To have operation next week

More like the new Egil Ostenstad

Surely the only thing up for debate about Lafferty is whether he's mediocre or awful.

But he has also played a very big part in our last 2 title wins and scoring 'very' important goals along the way, i think he has shown he can play but like his countryman davis doesn't do it often enough which is very frustrating.

Lee Facing Op Next Week

RANGERS will find out next week if Lee McCulloch will play again this season when the midfield star goes for surgery on his injured knee.

McCulloch visited a specialist yesterday when it was confirmed that he would require an operation to clear up the cartilage problem.

It is planned that this will take place next week and it will be when the procedure is underway that the surgeon will know the full extent of it.

Rangers are bracing themselves for Lee missing the rest of the campaign but there is some hope that this might not be the case.

The 32-year-old has scarcely missed a match this season and has been a key player in the campaign so far.

However, he had to come off in last week's Hearts game and it became clear that he would have to have the problem cleared up.

McCulloch is suspended for the next three SPL matches in any case as a result of going through the penalty points threshold.

But his loss will be a big one for Walter Smith as Rangers battle on four fronts
