Maribor lodge protest over Carlos Bocanegra eligibility

The story here should be why another member clubs fans feel the need to try and get us kicked out of Europe only in this sad wee country.

They've been slithering around the shadows and under rocks getting up to these types of snake-like shannanigans for a long long time. They've cost our club hundreds of thousands in fines and related expenses because of their undercover campaign of complaints to UEFA over the past decade or so about what Rangers fans have been singing in Europe.

Nail on the head there mate. Small minded nation at times, and folk wonder why we can't think bigger when competing in football.

On a slightly different note but uefa related just heard that at Whittakers appeal, which he was never going to win, the uefa panel said they took in to account a game he played for Scotland almost a year ago and was booked or sent off when they came to a decision on his ban never heard of that before.

Heard that too. But it was violent conduct anyway, and he was extremely stupid. I would fine him the pay rise he just got. Just joking.

Bit bizarre for UEFA to take national games into the equation. Might bite them in the bum. They've set a precedent. Why should Rangers players play for Scotland, risk a sending off for it be reflected in a club ban????

Whittaker should take this up with the players union, take these UEFA fookers to task.

Above letter and that prat McGobblegiver's tweet should be in the hands of all the media by tomorrow. That's the real story.

Pitiful, bitter and very unpatriotic.

Don't hold your breath for the Scottish media to report that Celtic fans are behind this nonsense.

It was mentioned over at the German boards (yesterday) that on transfermarkt.de it was said that Celtic fans made complaints about Bocanegra and Maribor apparently reacted. Above you find the truth in this rumour. Scum does as scum does.

And in the same Corinthian spirit they will chase every FIFA and UEFA official who shows up should they lose to the Swiss on Thursday. For those Swiss do indeed fielded up to 6 (methinks) "ineligible" players despite a ruling of FIFA against the club. A ruling Sion contests.
