Here's something I don't quite get. Whyte obviously didn't just wake up this morning and think yeah, administration that's the way to go, it's obviously been in the cards for a bit, so why sign cousin? We're gonna get a ten point penalty so that takes us completely out of the running for the league do its a complete waste of £7500 a week. But aluko hasn't had his contract extended. Worst case scenario, with the form he's been in, we sell him in the summer rather than lose him for nowt as it stands. Best case scenario, he's there for the next season or two contributing, which cousin won't be. Why???

If we do go into admin, the signing of Cousin for a couple of months does seem particulary if we are docked 10 points???

Bit strange to me too. Are we looking to make up 15 points between now and the end of the season?

Hardly.

More like this administration thing is an end game ploy.

And I might be wrong - again.

No harm in giving it a shot....still 2 OF games - there's a potential 6 points straight away!!!

Administration or not, we still need to give everything on the pitch, and hope the "other lot" drop points.

Signing Cousin will be to try and help us get 2nd place in the league because his wages for 10 weeks will be far FAR less than the difference in SPL money between 2nd and 3rd placed teams. If Motherwell had to win their game in hand, they'd only be one point behind us if we were hit with a ten point penalty!

I can't see any value in selling him as he was a free, but maybe he could be counted as an asset as far as the administrator sees it, but that's me just being fanciful I reckon.
