Ally's press conference today

Recommended Posts

When you watch or listen to that interview from Super Ally and then you think about what Lennon comes out with as in the likes of his twitter posting yesterday etc, I know who I would rather have as manager any day of the week. Fantastic stuff from Ally I am really looking forward to the game and atmosphere at Ibrox tomorrow. WATP. :)

Ally has certainly had his problems and they are well documented.

My main problem with Ally was the happy chappy one, where he was too pally etc etc.

I suspect the seriousness of our situation might prove to have a very positive effect on him.

Well said Ally.

I quoted a wee bit of today's conference in my blog. The bit which inspired me was him demanding answers for this mess. No fucking about with niceties, just stating what us bears want - the truth, disclosure, and answers.

We've had disasters here and that puts everything in perspective.

We're going to march right through it. Our players, supporters worldwide will get through this. Everyone rallying for each other.

Not a ticket in the house tomorrow for the Kilmarnock game. That's what Rangers are all about.

The fans have done their part, the stadium is sold out. It's down to me, my staff and the players to do our part tomorrow.

The players have been fantastic. They know the serious of the situation and everyone has been rallying round.

The players have all been asking questions as 'we'. The staff, the workforce, and that's very encouraging.

We'll come out of this, maybe battered and bruised, but ready to march on.

People losing their livelihoods is more important than losing ten points in my opinion.

We've conceded ten points, nothing else.

This situation has brought a dimension to my job that I'd never have imagined in 100 years. Tomorrow we'll see why it's worth it.

Everyone has been incredibly supportive, including teams in the SPL such as Dunfermline & Motherwell. I have to mention them

Tomorrow, I firmly believe we will show everyone what Rangers are all about and we will march through this.

We are a football club, we play football. Three o'clock tomorrow. Lets go.

This institution has been around for 140 years and I want it to be here for another 140 years.

Spot on Ally. At the end of the day, it's only a game of football. Losing 10 points doesn't matter one jot.

In theory you're right, but you can't forget it's not just about a game of football. It's an entire institution which was under threat of going under - and that matters more than you or I could possibly articulate.

But in terms of 10 points alone versus loss of life, obviously the points really don't matter.
