Guest superrcooper7 Posted March 31, 2012 Share Posted March 31, 2012 Yeah you can get rid of it, Spybot certainly isn't the best imo but running a decent antivirus program finds it then you still have some of the manual stuff to do as I described above. Neither mention going into add/remove programs or having a quick look at msconfig though. Download this http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/confirmation.aspx?id=17 Run it While it's running look for anything in your add/remove programs that shouldnt be there ie mywebsearch, other search things and remove them Do that for now and reboot to see how you get on. Apart from the running of the program it shouldnt take to long (unless you run the complete scan) but it should find everything for you. pete 2,499 Posted April 1, 2012 Share Posted April 1, 2012 The trick is never use automatic install always use expert install and you can un-click the toolbars and unwanted programmes. people tend to pick automatic and then just keep clicking yes without reading what is asked.
