Not sure that any such agreement between the club and Whyte would stand up. The guarantee would presumably have to be paid before he could go after Rangers to reimburse him and I doubt that he could do that, although obviously we don't have all of the details.

Really can't understand why they didn't do this first time round rather than going round the houses with every bidder and their dog. Ergo, chase Whyte, provide an overdraft to PM and TBK's/ Brian Kennedy to fund their takeover pending a share issue. Would have preserved the value in the club and thus give them an avenue of negotiation to protect their investment.
