I think he's a decent player for the level we will be playing at and I wouldn't look to far into his lifestyle, it's what he does on the park that really matters.

Well he's well out of our league now so it's a mute point. Will be a longtime before we watch anybody with Blacks ability never mind what we are really used to.

 

So team for next season in Div3, Jig and 10 others.

There are always two sides involved. He could just as easily have waited for us to come clear. If that is the case, he has shown more stamina than some of our Rangers players of last season.

I remember hearing 'Black for Scotland' calls after his cup final showing against a team who

 

a) were down to 10 men

b) didn't turn up and

c) are crap anyway.

 

This is dismaying. All those dreams of rebuilding from youth, actually using the facilities we have, and instead we turn to the man who put the only genuinely European class striker we are likely to see for years In Scotland out of the game.

Youth are clearly going to have a say, we can't afford them not to, it doesn't mean we don't try and get experienced signings in if possible.

Black is different.

 

Nikica Jelavic is a special talent, who can shine at any level, up to and including the best tournament in international football. Black crippled him for no reason other than he couldn't deal with a player of real ability. While he may be modestly able to pass a ball (i would question even that accolade) his default position is the thuggish hacker whose day should have gone at the very latest in the late 90s.

 

After having watched Euro2012 it is depressing, to say the least, to see our rebuilding being built around players like that - cloggers, basically. We may have no choice but I'm not going to be happy about it.
