So with the the 3rd Div looking like the place to play (pending any further SFA/SPL meddling), I think it will be fantastic for all Rangers fans.

While I remain sceptical about the financial side of playing in the lowest divison, I think from a footballing side it will be amongst he most exciting 3 seasons (maybe more...) in the clubs 140 year history.

For the 1st time we will be competing for a meaningful result at the top of the league. When you win the SPL, its Europe that's on offer. Being truthful, while it is great to be playing against some of Europe's finest, it is really seen as a bonus for the club. However, in the lower leagues, we're now playing for promotion - something that to meaningful & something to be proud of when achieved.

We will also be playing against completely fresh opponents for the next few years - a very welcomed change of scenery. The only time we may get to play against SPL opposition will be in the Scottish Cup (unless we're banned from that...)

In summary....BRING IT ON!!!

Longmuir: Rangers will take over Stranraer's fixtures in Division 3. Stranraer to Division 2. Airdrie United to Division 1.
