He admitted fraud in the BBC interview.

 

He said he knew Administration/Liquidation was a virtual certainty when he took over Rangers. Yet he still took out the loan with Ticketus. So unless Ticketus were in on it they were never getting their money back....

 

Ticketus thought they had a watertight contract which they would have had against any English club but they didn't bargain for Scots Law.

During Whyte's take-over of the club, a bon mott of information revealed he owned three homes. His castle in Aberdeenshire, a flat in Monaco, and a villa in Costa Rica!

 

I was non-plussed at the abode in central America until I found out Costa Rica has NO extradition treaty with the UK. As soon as Strathclyde's finest board a plane to Monaco to have a tete-a-tete with wee Craigy, the diminutive one will be winging it to snake central in Costa Rica.

He never owned property in Monaco, merely rented a one bed crash pad. However he has/had a property in Grasse (about 25 miles from Monaco) which a former abode of Baby Doc Duvalier.
