RANGERS can confirm that Nicky Clark has agreed to join the club on a threeâ??year deal and that he will be unveiled as a Light Blues player at Ibrox today.

The talented striker will follow in the footsteps of his dad Sandy, who made 64 appearances and scored 22 goals for Rangers in the 80s, when he puts pen to paper and it will no doubt be an emotional and proud moment for the player and his family.

Clark, of course, will not be registered until September 1 due to a transfer embargo but he will join Ally McCoistâ??s squad for pre-season training and will bolster the managerâ??s attacking options in 2013/14.

The former Queen of the South star netted an incredible 41 goals in all competitions in 2012/13 as the Doonhamers were crowned SFL2 champions and also lifted the Ramsdens Cup.

And with the likes of Jon Daly, Lee McCulloch and Andy Little all capable of finding the net consistently the Rangers first-team squad now has plenty of firepower as the club prepares for stage 2 of their journey back to the top of the Scottish game.

Clark played for Aberdeen and Peterhead before joining Queen of the South in July 2011, signing a one-year deal and then a 12 month extension which allowed him to find the stunning form which impressed the Gers coaching staff and earned him the PFA Division 2 Player of the Year award in May.

Nicky Clark has targeted matching last seasonâ??s goal-scoring form for Queen of the South at Rangers after signing for the Ibrox club.

The 21-year-old forward hit 41 goals for the Palmerston club last term as they won the Second Division title and the Ramsdens Cup.
