Should Ally stick with Jon?

Recommended Posts

He kept faith with Little too, who was hardly an inspiration in the game before the Brechin encounter. Strikers miss chances. Had all gone in, we'd probably beaten them 21-3. But that's football for you. We comfortably beat them in the end and that is that. It could well be that he sinks in a hat-trick against Stranraer. And while we are at it, I'd bet my bottom Euro that away from home we'll stick to the 4-1-4-1 line-up, with Little and Templeton/Macleod on the wings and Daly up front again.

Big Daly was excellent on Saturday. His link-up really makes a difference to us. The goals will come for him and no doubt he will set a good few for the likes of Clark, Law and Little.

Agreed.

Given that all our defenders are dropping like flies at the moment Daly might be required at centre half at the weekend

I once made the mistake of calling big Hateley a dud when he couldn't hit a barn door, and what a mistake that turned out. I said I wouldn't do that again. The big man will hit over 20 goals this year - easy. Just let him bag a couple and watch his confidence grow. Just hope the punters don't get on his back meantime. I like the big fella's attitude.

I did the same, and my Dad never lets me forget it either. I agree, I think Daly is a great signing, a real leader on the park too.
