It would amount to restriction of trade.

The SFA or their tin pot lawyers can't just willy nilly override European legislation. They would be disallowing someone to rightfully and lawfully take up employment.

This would be another Bosman moment.

If he gets rejected I am sure it will go to court and once again get overthrown.

Blocking King would be an ignorant move because the guy is very wealthy and high profile and will bring huge money into the game. His involvement will enhance us, who as the main show in Scottish football, can only further develop the league. But they will likely not see it as so...

King does not need to be on the Board to control the club.

Whether it is desirable that he controls it is quite another matter.

That said, I am sure that Regan is looking forward to the SFA being hauled in front of the Court of Session. And I am sure he is also looking forward to a personal message from Sepp Blatter when that happens.

is it not the case that King's imminent arrival means the SFA are caught between a rock & a hard place i.e. they(Regan & Liewell) want to stop him investing in Rangers but can't risk going to court to prevent him doing so ?
