ALLY McCOIST hopes Rangers have turned a corner in terms of performances as they prepare to resume their League One campaign at Ayr this weekend.

The Light Blues delivered their best overall display in a number of weeks last Friday when they beat Dunfermline 4-0 to progress into the last eight of the Scottish Cup.

I don't see any reason to think that will be the case. We had a great performance in the cup v Motherwell (?) last season only for standards to drop in subsequent matches. I think that the players will continue to raise their game in cup matches, but don't see it happening on a regular basis in the league, although I hope I'm wrong.

The difference in attitude, mentality, motivation or whatever it was, was very apparent in that cup game. Unfortunately. And I expect that to continue.
