Scottish Cup Final goalscorer from the subs bench v Celtic aged 17. European Cup Winners Cup Final winner from centre half aged 18. 210 competitive goals, never took a penalty and played for years as a defender. Capped by Scotland both up front and at the back. Scored in 4 different Scottish Cup Finals, two of them with doubles. Top scorer in 2 treble seasons. 3 titles, 5 Scottish Cups and 5 League Cups. Yet was already finished as a player in his late 20s. I know his opinions these days on radio and in the papers make us all cringe. But by God what a bloody player he was.
