Vuckic...get him signed

Recommended Posts

The problem Vuckic has is that he is surrounded by players who have no football intelligence. He is far too quick thinking and clever for them. His football brain is at least a few seconds ahead if the rest of them.

Absolutely, spot on, Vuckic is miles ahead in our squad.

how does that stop him from chasing back when he has given the ball away. he has huge flaws in his game that will ruin his chances of ever playing at a decent level.

He ran the show in his first two games, we had 40odd shots at goal. Now you go after him like there is no tomorrow because he had one bad game and did not chase back throughout the night? While all the rest did? While we had two holding midfielders not up to their job, i.e. essentially 6 defence-minded people on the park. And on top of that you predict that he needs to improve or else?

GS, all your promotion work for our youngsters is fine and well, and you are obviously utterly p*ssed off by those Magpies apparently denying our youngsters their shot at glory. But do return to some sort of objectivity here. You undermine any of your arguments pro our youngsters if you tell us that this chap is the worst thing this side of Saturn's rings, yet simple ignore that he is not the problem in our side these days.

Just to hit the youth topic and the much loved Dutch system. Many think the Dutch league is dire at the moment because there are too many youth players playing. Ajax played a game recently with all 5 midfielders being 18 years of age. they lost and probably have thrown away any chance of winning the league. when and how to develop youth will always be debatable and always hold different levels of success.

Thats a ballsy move to play that many youngsters in one position. If he pulled it off he's have been a god!

Like most, Vuckik impressed me in his first couple of games but has fizzled out a bit. I wouldnt say he was a selfish player as the team had no direction and have been running around like headless chickens. Certainly wouldnt sign him up based on performances when the team have been dire.

Might change my mind if McCall can get the team to play...like a team.
