Kevin Mbabu says no artificial surfaces

Recommended Posts

What a misleading papraphrase on the Beeb (via the Liam). What a shock, eh?

Can admin delete this thread or at least change the title to: "BBC gives false impression that....."

Sorry, what I said is maybe misleading.

He needs to get his match fitness up but he has said he can't play on astroturf.

So the article seems perfectly valid, no player should be dictating to the manager what surface he can play on.

No player is bigger than the club, and no club is bigger than the governing body that decides what type of pitch is acceptable as a surface.

Send him back along with the other crocks, Vuckic has been the only one to feature for more than 45 minutes, his contribution does not warrant the £500k Newcastle will receive if we go up.

But Vuckic is good no matter what Gunslinger says. He is worth the 500.000 if we can have him for nothing. We have paid more for worse players but that is irrelevant.

Mbabu has been playing for the u20s quite a few times (and they probably play quite a bit on "artificial surfaces"). I did ask elfideldo about his performances, with no reply thus far. I take it none of those giving Mbabu stick have actually seen him ... and who knows what sort of player Shane Ferguson is.

He would indeed be very much worth the £500k if we were to get him permanent, but thats not the point. Rangers will have to pay £500k for 5 players' contribution when only one 5th of those players actually made a contribution.

In normal circumstances and if it was just Vuckic that came for £500k id have been fairly happy with that if he continues the way he has been, but its taking the piss having to pay for 4 crocks.

Agree totally with that but my meaning was to negotiate for Vuckic for the 5 ton as the other players hadn't played.

If the 4 other nonentities had made an equal or even better contribution that Haris then we might have said £500,000 is a bargain, but even without Haris we might have made the Premiership anyway, so to conclude...It was a bad deal!

Again if the £500,000 is made part of a deal to sign Vuckic, then it becomes a very good deal depending on how much more we have to pay on keeping him here.

Vuckic has definitely been a breath of fresh air, but the deal stinks from high heaven.

Ah, gotcha. Would be nice if that was the alternative, but we are dealing with a certain Mr cAshley so...probably have to times it by another 10! :crash:
