How Do You Get To Ibrox?

Recommended Posts

I sometimes get a bus into town and then the undergound from Buchanan St but most often take the car, park in Pollokshields and walk over the footbridge.

Note there will be chaos on Sunday due to a lot of streets being closed for the Morrisons Great Women's 10K :flash::facepalm:

Gosh that's a good question.

I lived on the south side until I was 30 but bear in mind I was refereeing from age 15 to 33 so mostly only saw midweek games. I lived in Shawlands so as a youngster if I recall there was a bus from Minard Rd that went over to Ibrox, couldn't tell you the number. When I finished refereeing I was involved in Amateur Football and in England for a while but from the mid 80's I would have had the car.

However, I have a strong recollection of getting the Underground like you to Copland Rd as a boy and having to stand in those enormously long queues on the way back. That must have been when I lived further out and I think I got a bus and then the underground.

I wonder in the modern world, if you hadn't a car, if most people would make the journey like the old days?
