Today is the anniversary of that horendous 3-2 loss at alloa in the semi final of the so called diddy cup. It's exactly one year today. What's been your worst ever defeat? Berwick will always be mine...

Chesterfield. Still can't believe it.

Domestically it was the League decider in 1979, losing 4-2 at Parkhead and playing against 10 men.

European wise, neither of my worst two nights resulted in defeats but were when hopes of something special were taken away.

1. 1979 European Cup quarter final second leg: Rangers 1-1 Cologne (agg 1-2)

After having put out Juventus and PSV I and probably many others started to hope that this may be our year.

2. 1993 CL group: Marseille 1-1 Rangers

On the face of it a decent result but in my heart of hearts I knew we had needed a victory and hence had blown our chances of reaching the Final.

We've had some horrendous results over the years but the one game that always depresses me when I think of it is the match against Gornik Zabrze.

The Tim joke at that time still haunts me. It was" the knew washing Powder. Gornik! Washes White out."

Good old Ralphie. Scott's cross, Millar's nod-down, GOAL, Ralph Brand!

He had a lot more to his game than finishing. He ran angles like a rugby league player.

Oh how if only we had someone like Ralph along side waggy just now..
