The topsy-turvy world of Tom English

Recommended Posts

In in interests of transparency when discussing EBT's, tax avoidance etc shouldn't the Rangers hating licence payer funded cabal at the BBC divulge their own perfectly legal tax avoidance vehicles, after all rangers revealed their use of EBT's publicly each year?

Here's one of Richard "I'was brought up to hate Rangers" Gordon's https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/SC425737

It appears taking steps to minimise your taxes is perfectly legal and normal practice unless of course you happen to be Rangers.

Oh that's good, that's very good! I mean that's got to be the next article we publish, I'd be happy to contribute some time to it if anyone wants. I wonder how Jim Spence manages his freelance work, or Cosgrove for that matter.

Agreed. Not sure if there have been any FOI requests submitted on this already but it may be worth exploring for anyone interested.

I read a piece in the last several months where Cosgrove in a fit of pique; no doubt irritated by the continual accusations of his considerable contributions to the Rangers Tax Case Blog, revealed he is paid £42,000 per annum by Beeb Scotland for presenting On/Off the Ball. He also appears weekly on Beeb Scotland's Media Review, and is regularly commissioned to present, 'my life in five books', present both music and football documentaries, 'my life in five records', ........

The thing about Cosgrove is he is NOT going away any time soon, he is a 65 year old man with an infant child. He has established a standard of living and will maintain it, spitting venom at all things Rangers is an earner. He is mining a seam, and will continue to do so.

As an addendum to this article, in the interests of research, over the last fortnight I've contacted several UK-based academics who specialise in tax law - all at the top of their profession across the country.

Of those whom have replied, whilst not all have paid particularly close attention to the BDO/HMRC case, not one was prepared to describe Rangers' use of EBTs as 'unlawful'.

Just who is/are Tom English's expert(s)?

Every one drinks in the sarry heid during normal office hrs.

There's a certain ex footballer who has promised within the past couple of months that Cosgroves blood will be all over the walls and ceilings since an apology was not forthcoming following a complaint.

There's saying things in jest. Then there's not only taking the piss but being downright libelous.

He's made a very big mistake with this guy, believe me. ;)3

Cosgrove and Cowan are like two fat, bitter gits sitting in a pub trying to be funny and not managing it. In Scotland, they are given a platform to spout their mediocre attempts at satire. Sums up our press.
