Aaron Nemane signs on loan from Man City

Recommended Posts

Sure he may not work out but that is the case for any player, but as was mentioned do we not bother signing a player because he will be up against packed defences? It goes back to not signing players that stare you in the face, Aberdeen got May and sure he may not be a good signing but the chances always were that he would be and he's had a great start.

If Moult signed....how long would he get to prove as success or dud??? I'd bet a couple of games with no goals = Dud....or does that just apply to players like Herrera??

If memory is correct....McCoist got pelters on here for only signing "known" players, how how his signing lacked imagination or any sort of proper scouting.

How did you form the opinion that the boy can have no effect on results? Personally I know nothing about him but i'm presuming the DoF does and if the boy can bring nothing to the team then he's not doing his job.

1. He's only on loan for 4 months and there's no guarantee he'll be available to extend his loan period beyond January

2. He may be brilliant but the chances of him getting a serious opportunity to displace an established player are remote. Or he may be shite.

3. How many loan players have become permanent signing, precious few. The better he does the less likely he'll want to remain in this cesspit league

4. At this stage in our recovery we need proven players, not speculation on the possibility that a rank novice might somehow surprise

But we also need players that offer good value in the future ie. sell on value. We need to be able to wheel/deal with players. If we buy in too many older/experienced players, the possibility of their value increasing is virtually nil. Therefore when we have to replace them, it mean greater expenditure.

Loan players are not directly ideal in the long term, but they can provide shorter term gains through the players ability, but also longer term gains from inter-club relations and general reputation.

Yes we do but first we need to climb out of this pit of depressing failure. We can't afford the luxury of fucking around while Celtic are 39 points ahead of us in May.
