Supporter Safety Notice

Recommended Posts

Fully behind the club on this. Pyro adds nothing but negative things for me at the match. It is disgusting if you are anywhere near it, as I have been unfortunate to be in with the UB lot that does this at a lot of away games on our "journey" through the smaller grounds.

Of course part of the reason for the UB wanting to introduce safe standing areas is so they can "get away" with letting off pyro as it is much harder to identify a culprit in a crowd all standing close together.

No to both from me.

I really like the smell of smoke bombs and think they look good. Flares look good too but I can see why there are concerns about them.

I really hope the safe standing gets the go ahead as Ibrox is a library for most matches.

Do you think that just by standing the atmosphere will improve?

I don't.

I do. And it can't get much worse.

As much as I hate to say it, the atmosphere at the Piggery is better than Ibrox and the standing area there is definitely a contributory factor. The football should be a good day out and I've had far better days whilst on terraces.

So everyone has to sit down?

Younger people will much prefer standing with their mates and having a sing song, which means we get the next generation involved. If 10,000 Bears are against safe standing, good for them. They can stay quiet in their seats somewhere else and let a few thousand stand.

We must have the grumpiest support in world football.
