He and his agent(s) were never going to leave without squeezing as much money out of us as they can.

Awful buy and we might consider him gone but the relatively lucrative contract still has a way to go.

It is not about squeezing money but honoring the contract. People will obviously argue about it, but IMHO the management messed up his, Cardoso's and essentially Cummings' situation later on too, playing a rubbish system that time and again failed to work / yield results ... as well as players "equally" not up to scratch. Sometimes you wonder what people expect here. That for "the sake of the club (and the support)" people just chuck it and get out as quick as possible? That may work in Fantasy Football.

If he wants to fight for his place so be it. As of now, he'd be the only other striker next to Morelos that we have ... and EL is a fortnight away.

From a supporters POV, it's squeezing money out of a club you aren't giving anything back in return, especially when we get to pay-off time.

... doesn't that assume that are actually been given the chance to give anything back? Herrera, Cardoso and Cummings more often than not were denied that chance ... and when given, where actually thrown in at the deep end and thus to the wolves. IMHO, it simply is more complex than just pointing at the players.

Yes, you're right but it's generally how fans will see things.

Herrera and Cardoso were basically a consequence of what was termed by AJ as 'institutional failure'.

This is still costing the club a lot of money every week.

Cummings couldn't get any momentum.

He didn't really fit into the way we played so tbh you have to ask questions about why we signed him. Not such a huge deal given it was a 6 month loan.
