Rangers clinch loan deal for Liverpool midfielder Ovie Ejaria

Recommended Posts

RANGERS have completed a loan deal for Liverpool midfielder Ovie Ejaria.

SportTimes can reveal the 20-year-old has agreed a season-long switch to Ibrox to be reunited with former Reds coach Steven Gerrard.

Ejaria spent the second half of last term on loan at Sunderland and has now made the switch to Glasgow to gain more first team experience.

The Englishman is Gerrard's fourth signing of the summer so far and is set to be followed into Ibrox by defender Connor Goldson after Rangers agreed a £3million fee with Brighton on Wednesday.

I absolutely love the Goldson signing. Ejaria is a mixed bag and is definitely a young, work in progress. This kid is big and STRONG. He has deceptive speed at the top end and distributes the ball well. He has good vision and plays head up ball.

However, he appears at times to show a low work rate and is a bit of a 'goonie bird', in that he seems like a boy in a man's body with his loping running style and lack of agility.

We shall see...hopefully.

That thread is "Summer 2018 Transfer Rumours and Deals"..... In other words all transfer dealings....  Maybe it is just because Ian is from the East Coast and reading is a bit of an issue over there...... just kidding Ian :D

Reports are that Liverpool have got him to sign a long term contract with them. Disappointing in that there’s no prospect of signing him when the year is up but very encouraging that they obviously think he’s the real deal.

They are probably willing to send him to us both to do Gerrard a favour but also because they want him playing on the front foot rather than fighting any more relegation battles.
