Wonder goalkeeper Frank Haffey???

Whenever you asked my Gran the time when it was half nine, she would always say 'nine past Haffey' referencing the famous 1961 England v Scotland game.

Maybe some of the older bears can confirm for me, but I was always under the impression that Haffey was a poor keeper.

God those Celtic kits make me want to punch a kitten.

There's a kitten in my house but he's named after a Protestant Reformer, so no punching allowed.

That 60s Rangers strip is perfection.  Although I prefer the mid 70s shirt, if push comes to a shove.

The new yahoo home shirt is amusingly honkin'.

Haffey  was quite a good goalie in the first match he played a blinder in the replay he had a stinker , the England match was different England used an orange ball the Rangers players wouldn't kick it and Haffey   wouldn't touch it .

It was "Haffey past 9" ?. That was my two favourite players of all time playing there - Baxter and Henderson. I must admit that old newsreel doesn't show them in a good light but if you saw them in the flesh they were magic!

You cannot liken today's players with then. Yes a today's team would win but if you put yesterdays players in a today's team they would romp the league.

Was the referee Tiny Wharton?
