Dembele joining Lyon

Recommended Posts

The fees mentioned vary wildly but the most common number seems to be £15m.

Tbh I'd have rathered he stayed because his value would continue to decrease as his contract ran down and his performances continued to stagnate.

On the other hand they don't have much time left in the window to find a replacement and if they don't find a replacement he's going nowhere and they have one unhappy boy on their hands.

Good pre for the old firm.

Looks like it's worked out perfectly.

Celtic publicly announce they've rejected a big bid and he's going nowhere.

Dembele publicly tweets his frustration and implies he had given Lyon his word.

I'm not expecting a particularly fruitful 6 months for Dembele before the next transfer window opens.

It really does seem the tide of good and bad luck has started to turn. For so long it seemed that kind of stuff was only happening to us,

BREAKING NEWS

Moussa Dembele is unhappy that Celtic have blocked his move to Lyon, according to Sky sources.

The French club bid £18m yesterday after Celtic assured him they would not stop the former Fulham striker leaving if an offer was received.

Dembele, 22, was left out of Celtic’s squad last night as they qualified for the Europa League. Just before midnight Dembele tweeted an image containing the phrase "A man without his word is nothing. A real man keeps his word."

Sky sources understand the message was aimed personally at Brendan Rodgers.
