Of course, there is no hoodoo.

I utilised a hackneyed headline, 'Hampden Hoodoo' to employ alliteration and highlight five semis without scoring, without looking like scoring.

Truly woeful performances under different managers and different sets of players.

That's very true of the three 1-0 defeats we've suffered this season.

Steve Clarke was sat in the stand yesterday and he'll have drove his car south to Ayrshire yesterday but with thoughts of coming back up to Glasgow on Wednesday with a bus to park.

One day, hopefully not too far away, we’ll have a team that’s good enough for us not to have to demean ourselves by talking utter bollocks about a hoodoo, Hampden or otherwise.

By my reckoning we haven't "won" a semi final/final (without needing pens) in the last 8 attempts going back to the SF v Dundee Utd at Ibrox under Ally. Cant even remember what was before that one so it might be more.

It might not be a hoodoo, but its absolutely disgusting for the biggest and best club in the country.

Players, managers, coaches, have all come and gone but the sound of bottles crashing is the one thing that seems to follow us this decade.

All you can do is get to the next SF and ensure you win it.

Last SF win in 90 minutes was back on 30 January 2011 with Walter Smith in charge when we beat Motherwell 2-1 in the League Cup........We went onto to beat Celtic 2-1 AET in the Final.

Sign of the times I’m afraid. You could even say we have shown consistency by reaching every semi-final in every Cup since then. When did we last make 6 semis in a row?

A few years ago it was Celtic who had a Hampden hoodoo under Neil Lennon. Indeed they were losing to the likes of Ross County & Carly Thistle. Fact is these games are never easy, nor are they ‘home’ games.

Sunday was a decent performance by a tired team with no cutting edge. We haven’t replaced Windass with another midfielder who can score 20 goals a season. McInnes fancied his chances on Sun against us as he knew Morelos & Lafferty we’re out and we’d tire in the closing stages. It was better than last year against Motherwell. Not good enough yet, but getting there, hopefully..
