Good I didn't want him at us.

It's good because I think he'll be badly missed by Aberdeen.

There was a case for him but on reflection, I'd prefer we go with what we already have, Greg Docherty.

Rumour is that Rangers were his preferred destination but with the abuse both in print and in person while out with his wife heaped on Ryan Jack decided against it.

The abuse our players take from the fans of other clubs is unreal.  That said, I am not disappointed by this because I just don't see where Shinnie breaks into our team - we have Jack, McCrorie and even Docherty for that role (can Rossiter stay injury free ??) and we then also have Kamara and Davis.

Shinnie isnt someone that could take us to "the next level".

The only real reason to take him would have been to weaken Aberdeen - but this season has proven we are considerably ahead of them even if he were to stay, despite head to head results.

I just don’t understand the bile. Hastie and Jordan Jones are getting it too. Do they get this if moving to any other club in the league and if not why not. An issue that’s affecting our ability to sign players as evidenced by Shinnie despite the fact we might not actually have a use for him.
