The club can't be issuing new shares to Club1872 alone since that would require shareholder approval at an EGM. If they're talking about purchasing new shares at an upcoming share issue then, while the money will go to Rangers, Club1872 could well end up with a smaller share of the club's equity and the club will sell the shares with or without Club1872. What's the point of any further share purchases? It's certainly not an investment in any normal sense of the word. The shares are being issued by the club. There was approval for it at the last AGM, I believe. They are new shares and the club is getting an extra £500K that it otherwise wouldn't have. Members have overwhelmingly authorised the use of funds from Club 1872 Projects CIC to purchase a portion of these shares and the full purchase will now go ahead.
