How about an Edinburgh XI of Rangers' players?

Or, if that is too difficult/impossible, an East Coast XI?

Fife, Embra and the Lothians.

George Niven

Sandy Jardine, John Greig

Alfie Conn, George Young, Jim Baxter

Alex Scott,  Derek Grierson,  Jimmy Millar, Ralph Brand, Andy Matthew.

Shouldn’t these fellows have been playing rugger?

Grierson ineligible- Falkirk bairn.

Move Conn up to inside forward, Greig to right half, pretend Young can play left back and the centre half is Willie Woodburn who should have been first name on the team sheet anyway. How did I forget him?

  • Rousseau changed the title to An Edinburgh eleven

Would Bill Struth to manage and Jock Wallace as first team coach be acceptable ?

(Wallace is from Wallyford, a few miles from Auld Reekie)

I played in a Rangers top in the Meadows, an Edinburgh public park in the 70´s,....any chance of a game ?
