He was a great Rangers player but so much about him since he left in 1998 has tarnished that status. All in all, since in all good faith I can no longer see him as a credit to our club, I prefer just to ignore him.

... like keeping it all together after the Whyte fiasco and the Ashley years? His playing career is impeccable, his managerial was made up of an admin event, poor to mediocre players and an atmosphere of discontent, mis-management (above him) and pulling carpets under people's feet. It ended on a dark not with him on "gardening leave" or whatever, yet some things should still be taken into perspective here.

 

That said, I wouldn't want him as an ambassador of Rangers FC or the like, people like Neil McCann would be more appropriate.
