As much as Hibs offer a more offensive challenge, I can only see this a positive for us. The last group of games have seen us face teams that have set up very defensively, with little space to get in behind.

Let's not lose sight of where we are and how we got there. We are the top of the league for a reason and IMO, all the tactical questions are firmly on Hibs. Do they come at us and open themselves up to Tav/Borna/Aribo/Kent/Kamara/Airfield/Hagi/Roofe exploiting space they have not had in a while? Or do they sit tight and stuff the midfield and hope for something on the break?

Hibs have been a thorn in our side for a number of years now. We need to show them why this Rangers side is now a couple of levels above, especially winning mental strength.

Doidge is suspended but I think their offensive game depends a lot more on Martin Boyle. If he plays well, our defence will have more work to do than is the norm. They are missing a few players but I think it will only impact the strength they can sit on the bench.

Middle to front, it's an interesting team selection for SG&Co, with plenty of options. That said, we need to get the starting XI right and not have to chase things from the bench.

I think I must've blanked most of last season, as I can barely remember that 6-1 game.

Acceptable.

Sportscene that evening showed the usual five minute highlight package, followed by 3-4 minutes discussion. Michael Stewart spent three and a half minutes lionising the Allen pass for Hibs goal. It was August and it was deemed 'pass of the season'.

I'll take the full four minutes with Irving Welsh extolling the virtures of Hibs expansive game to a backing of The Proclaimers rendering an instrumental Sunshine on Leith, if we can get a repeat 6-1 victory.
